  • My 5th different set of multifocal progressive eyeglasses, and the most comfortable
Color: Clear 0 Zero Top Multifocal Lens(black/B... Magnification Strength: 2.0 Diopters
I have tried six different sets of multifocal progressive eyeglasses and one set of bifocal readers. This one is the most comfortable. The first three are prescription glasses from professional optician stores. The independent optician store charged me $600 for JUST the lenses, and the optical department at the big box store with a reputation for high quality cost me $250 for the frames and lenses. My vision with all these glasses was sharp and clear. The optician's glasses count for two sets because the first try made me so dizzy I was nauseated. The optician's second try was better and I tried to believe it is good, but I gave up after 6 weeks because of dizziness and nausea. The big box store glasses were much better, but still caused dizziness with just a tinge of nausea. Then I bought a set of 3 glasses from Amazon that were supposed to be half-power at the top and full power at the bottom, but were actually 0 power at the top. I was lucky to get these. One of these 3 glasses was excellent, and I wore it without dizziness, but after a year it broke. The other 2 glasses in this set were not clear enough. Then I bought a single pair from Amazon and although my vision was clear dizziness and nausea were problematic. The seller exchanged these for bifocal readers. These did not make me dizzy but the bifocal line was uncomfortable, and it just wasn't nearly as easy to use as the pair that had broken. Now comes this set of 2 glasses. These are excellent. I see clearly with both pair. One pair produces no dizziness at all, and this is the only pair to do this. The other pair causes slight dizziness and is second best. These are the best of the glasses I have used. They are clearer than the pair that broke after a year, and I can wear them all day. I should try to go without glasses more of the time, but eyeglasses have become a habit over many decades, and the habit is hard to break after all this time. In sum, these are better than glasses from the professional opticians. These glasses are well made with adjustable soft silicone nose pads, just like costly glasses. I like the looks of the gun metal gray color, but the black is acceptable. To see best I need to have these glasses as close to my eyes as I can arrange. It is easy to rate 5 stars when these $11 glasses are better than the much more costly ones from opticians--but I rate the 5 stars regardless of price. ... show more

  • Good Usable
Color: Clear 0 Zero Top Multifocal Lens(black/B... Magnification Strength: 2.0 Diopters
Only one soft fabric case for two glasses. Nose pads not in alignment and needed adjusting for proper use. Upper section pretty clear. Much like looking through clear safety glasses. Mid and reading portions work OK. Transition is smooth without any noticeable vision issues. UV blue light blocking seems to work OK. No eye strain while on the computer. ... show more

  • It Doesn't Get Better Than This
Color: Clear 0 Zero Top Multifocal Lens(gun/Brown) Magnification Strength: 1.5 Diopters
This is an amazing deal! PROS: Amazing price, very lightweight, sturdy spring temples, well made, blue-light filtering lenses, and a contemporary style that looks expensive and masculine! You get 2 pairs of glasses, a microfiber cleaning cloth, a quality drawstring bag, a VERY STURDY plasic box, and two "never-lost" cords!! CONS: Abolutely nothing! BACK STORY: I'm in a sales position and at that point in my life where I need reading glasses. Prescription glasses are beautiful, but they are expensive and can still get lost and broken. Single strength readers are hard to switch between reading small print and using a computer. A few years ago I discovered a few inexpensive reading glasses with "transitional" lenses. They go from reading strength at the bottom to clear at the top. They were a hit! Since then I've reordered them over and over. This time, I found these beautiful, expensive-looking readers. They arrived in less than 24 hours and I am thrilled! I can't wait to hear what my friends and customers think of my new look! But there is something even better. Packed between the two pair of beautiful glasses, a durable drawstring bag and a cleaning cloth was a vivid childhood memory. I flashed back to the 1960's when I was a child and bought goldfish for 10 cents apiece at the local Five and Dime. There was an endearing saleswoman that smelled like roses and kept her glasses around her neck with a gold chain. Today I remembered that smart, kind person for the first time in years when I saw two exclosed cords (in tasteful black) to hold my new glasses around my neck. Never again will I say "Have you seen my glasses?" Order 4 pairs. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Takes some getting adjusted to them
Color: Clear 0 Zero Top Multifocal Lens(black/B... Magnification Strength: 1.5 Diopters
Stylish and clean appearance. 1 pair has a fairly clear view. 1 pair has extremely poor very blurry view as if the magnification isn’t 1.5. Both pair are labeled as 1.5 magnification. Lenses are clear, no defects visible. Progression between the different focal points will take so time to used to them, as recommended in the package. Prolonged use eye strain occurs for me. ... show more

  • Worthless For My Purposes
Color: Clear 0 Zero Top Multifocal Lens(black/B... Magnification Strength: 3.0 Diopters
I need a 1.5 for general/distance and 3.0 for anything closer than arm's length. You only get to choose the maximum strength on these but based on the write-up I thought I understood that you'd get the strength you selected in the lower half and half that (1.5, in this case) in the upper half. Actually, you get a LITTLE bit of the strength selected at the bottom, a very quick transition right above that, about a quarter of the way from the bottom (and while 1.5 may be in that transition somewhere that's not useful to me), and then the upper three fourths of the lens (!) seems to have no strength at all. So... If you just want basically plain glass with a small area of magnification at the bottom (and I have to tip my head WAY back to make any use of that) then maybe these are for you, but there's effectively no difference between these and wearing half-height readers. What I was REALLY wanting was a pair of readers where I could pick two strengths and have the stronger of the two taking up the lower half of the lens (for near), and the lower strength taking up the upper half (for far). I had heard this was possible but these are not that. Guess I'll keep looking, after I throw these in the trash. ... show more

  • Better than expected.
Color: Clear 0 Zero Top Multifocal Lens(black/B... Magnification Strength: 2.5 Diopters
As good as a $700 pair of glasses. Very satisfied and a bit surprised. Better than I expected. Perfect for after having cataract surgery.
