This cushion fit my rocking chair just fine and was very cushion-y. But please believe the notes inside the box about giving it 72 hours to EXPAND! To save shipping space, the thing is rolled up and shrink-wrapped so tight, its as flat as a thin pancake when you unwrap it. I was so startled and bummed that I would "definitely be sending it back"...until I saw the packing note. I rolled it out on a small table and left it alone for almost 3 days and sure enough it s-l-o-w-l-y started to expand to the required 4 in. thick that I had been promised. When this showed up in a small box I was kinda worried. Was wrapped up tightly in plastic and I said oh boy, but it plumped up very quickly and is thickly cushioned. It has an elastic band to go around the back with ties in each side of the seat cushion. So much better than I thought it would be! Not a navy blue but more of a medium blue.
