I hunt upland game so walk uneven fields with ditch crossings, wet foliage, and muddy levees and farm roads. These WETLAND boots are tall, fairly light, comfortable, and waterproof. They don't pick up much mud and clean easily with a hose. If I was younger, I could hunt all day in these. But the most wonderful thing about them is they are easy to slip on but still hold on tightly in the mud. My previous expensive boots, LaCross AlphaBurly, were a monumental daily struggle to get on and were a bit heavy. They also picked up mud more readily. It is no fun starting one's day cursing and puffing and panting just getting one's boots on for an enjoyable day of hunting. I finally acted on my vow to upgrade my boots and am extremely pleased with the result. UPDATE, 2/2018: These boots have begun to disintegrate. There are serious cracks in the rubber lower foot area. The seams are separating and there are areas of severe cracking. The expense of these should make such faults impossible. Very disappointed so a 5 star review has been reduced to a 1 star review. I will never buy this brand again. Consider these disposable boots if you choose to buy them. While the positives are still valid, they only apply to boots right out of the box. Awesome snow boots. I used Yak-traks too with them when it's super icy, but besides that, they grip well, are decently warm, and have plenty of room to tuck my jeans in them. They're also way high quality.

Great fit, great comfort and super awesome for keeping water out! But, when you're out walking and get them sweaty and are planning to go sit afterwards, bring a dry pair of socks that way you're toes don't freeze.

I normally wear a 11.5 size boot and these are a tad larger with regular socks but with some good winter socks they fit perfectly. Can't wait for winter so I can wear them more often.
