Description

The MSR Revo Explore Women’s All-Terrain Snowshoes are the most rugged, yet comfortable snowshoe in the MSR line. Designed with superior traction for hiking, breaking trail, trekking, and extended winter trips, they provide exceptional performance, and all-day comfort. The durable plastic ExoTract deck is engineered specifically to address the unique biomechanics of women, or anyone with a narrower gait seeking a stable, yet agile snow travel option. Steel teeth around the perimeter of the deck provide grip, while Pivot crampons offer bite on traverses and slopes. HyperLink bindings feature a cushioned cradle that eliminates pressure points, and macro-adjust straps keep feet centered and accommodate a wide range of footwear. Easy-to-engage Ergo Televator heel lifts offer help on the steeps, reducing fatigue. The MSR Revo Explore Women’s Snowshoes are compatible with MSR Modular Floatation Tails (sold separately), for extra floatation when carrying heavier loads, or encountering changing snow conditions. Available in two sizes to accommodate a range of weight/gear loads: 22-inch snowshoes measure 8 x 22 inches, weigh 3.9 pounds/pair, and carry a 180-pound load; 25-inch snowshoes measure 8 x 25 inches, weigh 4.2 pounds/pair, and carry up to 210 pounds. I couldn’t believe the ease of snowshoeing on an established or semi established trail with Revo Explore. I’ve enjoyed snowshoeing for many years with traditional and MSR Denali shoes but the Revos are truly like walking on snow. Less fatigue, better speed, great traction. If I was going to break trail on fresh deep snow I’m still using my traditional but once on some kind of trail the Revos are my new choice. Love the bindings - quick on and off. (I generally snowshoe in wooded areas, some hills and if cold enough on streams.) ... show more

Love, love the ratchet bindings. So easy. Just took them out in 15" of fresh snow. Very comfortable but would love extenders for that depth. Now that I have a trail throughthewoods, it will be easier next time. I put them over big Baffin boots and the straps barely fit. If I were a big man with big boots, I'd need longer straps on the bindings. Definitely worth the upgrade from my prior bindings Update: the bindings DO extend to fit my big winter boots! ... show more

I was so sad to get these and have them not fit my boots. I had read some reviews and thought others must have had large snow boots but obviously MSR has severely overlooked this very large flaw when designing this model. I have fairly low profile winter boots. Not bulky at all. An Oboz boot that I have used with other MSR snowshoes like the lightening ascent, the evo, and the older model Denali without issues But this model has a whole different kind of bindings that are incredibly short. They don’t fit over the boot so you can’t secure the snowshoe to it. It needs to be like 2-3” longer at minimum. I can’t imagine any shoe other then a summer hiking boot would fit inside the bindings of this snowshoe. Sorely disappointed in MSR since almost everything else I have ever used from this brand has been great. I’ve just filed for a return and am disappointed also with how Amazon deals with this. Return shipping is not included even though I have prime because it was sold to me obviously not from a share house. Good thing I caught this problem before snowshoe season and a shortened return policy timeline that would left me with expensive snowshoes that I couldn’t wear or return!! ... show more

This snowshoe came highly recommended and when it arrived, it looked awesome, traction wise. I wear a women's size 9 waterproof hiking boot with gators when I snowshoe -- so, not a large piece of footwear. Sadly, the toe binding did not quite fit over the top of my boot without a lot of squeezing and urging -- so not the easy on, easy off I had hoped for (I commute to work on snowshoes so it's an every day thing). ... show more
