  • Excellent monitor
Excellent colors from the quantum dot layer and gets very bright. Can't use it on max brightness for long without eye strain. Blacks are very dark and the screen has overall good contrast. Settings menu can be confusing but its an excellent monitor either way. Highly recommend.

  • Good quality for the price
I love the curved monitor, I came from a 1800R which is a slight curve and I believe that the 1000r that this one offers a lot of depth and immersion when playing. The image quality is great, with vibrant colors with HDR400. However, I can see the backlight from the edges way more than on my previous monitor when the screen is black, I was expecting this to be less noticeable as this is a VA panel. something that I did not have was the ability to adjust my screen in whatever direction I wanted, I did not know how much I needed this until I got it. ... show more

  • Monitor
Easy to configure. Simple on and off button. I would recommend this product for the cost.

  • Caught it on sale, all the features i wanted at the right price. Beautiful picture
Took a little bit to get the color settings dialed in, the picture is beautiful and buttery smooth. Not a single dead pixel. Mounted straight to a VESA mount with the standoffs that were included. It also came with both HDMI and Display port cables. Will update if there are any issues.

  • This thing is HUGE.
Great quality, only issue I am having is the base size is rather large so it doesn't fit well on my monitor rack on my desk.

  • If it breaks, your screwed
Monitor worked great and was a great fit for my system for about 6 months. Then the backlight went out. Worked with MSIs warrantee program, sent my monitor back and got a refurbished replacement. Sadly even with the warrantee in place, you still have to pay for the initial postage and are out that money. So at this point I have paid over $600 for this monitor and its RMA. Set up the replacement and it wouldn't sustain power. The screen would black out every 10 minutes for about 5 seconds. Called MSI back, they asked if it had tested it with another system, cable, soon. I had no issues with the other 2 monitors I use and don't have another system. I use 3 displays and swapped it between all 3. Honestly I believe the problem is their shitty power brick that has an L bracket cable from the DC converter to the monitor. So I made sure the brick was secured in a way to put the least amount of stress on the joint. They said if I had tested everything and its still not working, that they would send me an RMA label to send it back again. I thought Great! That's awesome! Surely this is a fluke I thought. Well, then I received the 2nd RMA replacement. Low and behold, the exact same issue. I called MSI again, again they offered to send it back again. I informed them that at this point I had been through 3 monitors in 6 months and I would like to either have the product refunded or a new monitor sent to me and not a refurbished one. The gentlemen kindly informed me that they would not issue new devices or refunds. The warrantee would only cover a refurbished model. So my cycle of return, disappointment, and return continues. Honestly I am probably not sending it back and will make sure this is the last product I purchase from MSI. I have honestly never had a problem with their products and felt they get a bad wrap but my eyes are open this time. ... show more

  • Great Monitor
This was an upgrade from my existing, smaller monitor and the difference is night and day. The curve is significant enough to have more immersion than a flat screen but not so significant that it obscures important info. The color accuracy is amazing and the refresh rate is good too. Definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Dead after 7 weeks. Configuration software insists on installing Norton. Dead after 7 weeks. Configuration software insists on installing Norton.
My first red flag should have been how their "Gaming Intelligence" software insists on installing Norton (required to adjust advanced settings). MSI's software is required to adjust buttons, change the RGB LED settings, and update the firmware... so the fact they are pushing unrelated (and unwanted) Norton software is unacceptable. And after 7 weeks of use, the panel has failed. My only recourse is to send this back to MSI for repair, and I'm paying for shipping. Quality is lacking on both the construction and software side. ... show more
