    • It’s Cheap for a Reason
You really get what you pay for with this, but at the same time it’s really good for the price it is. I’ll start off with the bad: this thing was cheap ($100 on Prime Day), and if you know computers you know 200hz monitors at this price range can be sketchy, but MSI is a known and trusted brand. However, it’s so cheaply made. It’s all plastic and it honestly feels like it could break at any moment just by looking at it in a funny way. The OSD button in the back is a joke, it’s extremely wobbly, like it can fall off at any moment. It’s also a pain to maneuver around with it since it’s not sturdy, so you can end up moving or pressing when you didn’t mean to. And oh my goodness that stand is godawful. It doesn’t go up or down or move left or right. Thankfully I bought a VESA stand to mitigate this, and now it’s a lot more comfortable to game with. There’s not much to say about the OSD itself. There are your normal preset gaming modes and crosshairs, but I don’t really mess with that stuff, I’d much prefer to mess with the settings myself. It has an AI mode which I honestly have no clue what it really does, nor do I honestly care; I don’t like to put filters or post processing stuff like that on my monitors. But oh man this thing actually looks good. The colors are bright and saturated, the contrast is very good, and 200 hz actually makes a huge difference. I’ve played with 144 and 165 hz monitors and I don’t think I could go back. I can actually feel the difference in refresh rate and my games run silky smooth. I normally play fighting games and shooters, and if you know about those games, you know that fast refresh rates actually matter. If you’re in the 120-144 hz range and you play these types of games, I highly recommend making the switch to this. I also calibrated the colors and brightness and it looks much better than out the box. Overall, don’t expect a tough or modern looking monitor; it’s $100 for a reason. But I truthfully think that this might be a budget banger. ... show more
