The MSI Optix G273QPF is a great gaming monitor for the PS5. After using this product for about 3 weeks I can truly say this is the best way to do your PS5 gaming supplemented with your favorite gaming headset/speaker. My previous monitor was a 24" AOC 24G2 1080p monitor, and this MSI monitor is a major upgrade especially with the recent PS5 update (9/7/22) supporting 1440p resolution. I noticed a huge difference in my PS5 gaming overall when playing Doom Eternal going for the platinum trophy for example. I'm getting 1440p 120 hz now with crystal clear visuals and a smooth fast framerate to make those glory kills and hunting down those demons even more satisfying while also wearing my PC38x gaming headset! I got lucky getting my monitor with no dead pixels. Google helped me in finding calibration settings from "rtings" online review. Overall color, brightness, and contrast is amazing after calibration. Sadly, no HDR is supported on this monitor on the PS5. SDR is still amazing. This monitor also includes a great stand compared to MSI's previous model for ergonomics. This monitor can tilt, elevate up and down, and turn left and right. This monitor also works amazingly well when utilizing streaming apps as expected such as YouTube, HBO Max, and Netflix in-between gaming sessions. This is a great gaming monitor for PS5 users! It is an affordable PS5 gaming monitor that can achieve 1440p 120 hz for $300. The ergomonic stand is great and also the one button in the back right hand corner for adjusting monitor settings is easy to handle calibration. I'm anxiously waiting to play Modern Warfare II at 1440p 120 hz on the MSI G273QPF later this year. ... show more

No RGB, no colors on the stand and clean and sleek. 1440p at 165 Hz with a easily accessible Gaming/Professional menu at hand, I don't think I could ask for more. The night mode really helps on the dark games and can quicky be restored to standard setting.

wanna make this clear, bought this strictly for ps5. monitors an absolute steal for how good the options, color and construction are. i cannot get my console to run 1440p 120hz on this product tho. i have hdcp, adaptive sync, VRR all turned off and ive made no progress. ive tested for 1440 on console and that doesnt work either. it does run 1080p 120hz flawlessly but thats not really the point. EDIT: the monitor works perfectly, the astro a40 adapter i used for optical audio was bottlenecking the resolution. Acquired steel series nova pros, problem solved. ... show more

    • Go with another brand, MSI is trash.
I bought two of these monitors for my new system. 7800x3d with a 7900XTX. Nothing but problems. The cords supplied die within weeks. Each one died separately. The monitors have pixels that are stuck on red. MSI will not help you at all until you have at least 5 "dead" pixels that wont light up at all. Pixels stuck on a color do not count. On top of that even when you get them working they are very slow to respond. ... show more

Very impressed with this monitor. For the price, I wouldn't get anything else. The colors on this display are phenomenal, the refresh rate is perfect, the blacks are crisp and the whites are bright. Perfect for gaming, movies, and even editing.
