  • Flat, 21:9 Ultrawide with 144hz 1ms and Excellent color quality.
What is your favorite aspect of the product and how did it improve your user experience? I love that it auto detects when I start a different port up. Thus I start Display Port and use that PC then shut down. Then start the Switch and it boots up automatically over HDMI1. The brightness and color clarity are outstanding and there is no ghosting or delay in the screen movement or speed. Why did you choose this product over another? I wanted FLAT. I hate curve as it triggers my motion sickness and I wanted a high quality monitor with no curve. It is very hard to find at this time. Does the product fulfill your needs? This monitor works great gaming and for work. Does it deliver beyond your expectations? For its pricepoint yes. I would like deeper blacks with micro area led lighting control and am willing to pay more but every monitor with that feature is curved and that's a no go. What do you feel are the strengths and weaknesses of the product? Excellent Brightness, Excellent Color, Excellent speed and responsiveness. Black depth is a bit gray its not "bad" but its not "great" its decent. It is better then my Samsung 34inch ultrawide at blacks. So it was a distinct upgrade. ... show more

  • Great monitor, great price, and a bit of a hidden gem for monitors!
The monitor is honestly great so far! Picture quality has been great, response time quick, gaming has been extremely smooth at 144 fps+ and when at lower frames G-Sync has been working great. Getting this monitor for only $469 is really a steal and I thought there had to be something wrong at this price point for an ultrawide monitor from MSI. I was wrong. It has been nothing but perfect so far with no actual downsides unless you prefer a curved monitor which is something you should take into consideration when choosing an ultrawide. I bought this monitor specifically for Lost Ark and it has been AMAZING making the switch to ultrawide gaming and even found myself trying out all my other games to experience them in this new resolution. If you're making the upgrade to ultrawide from 1080p this is a great monitor to do so. ... show more

  • Awful QC. Great when it worked.
Had this monitor since April. Encountered issues almost immediately on my unit. Flickering / Intermittent black screens worsened over time. The silver lining is that the monitor was exceptional in terms of picture quality and features for the price. Competitive choice for price, quality and features. -2 Stars for QC. ... show more

  • KVM fails, MSI won't/can't RMA
As a whole, the monitor is okay. Good image, fast response time, large display. But... the built-in KVM switch failed after a few weeks. Suddenly, the USB devices attached to the monitor weren't being detected and MSI Gaming Intelligence app didn't detect the monitor via the USB Type B cable. I'm stationed overseas and only have an APO address, and MSI won't RMA to a PO box. "Okay then, I'll just return it to Amazon," I thought. It was literally the last day the return window was open. I tried to submit a return request, and rather than provide a shipping label like EVERY OTHER RETURN I've ever done from my APO, Amazon says they'll only reimburse $4.99 in shipping. It would cost a lot more than that to ship it back. So now I'm stuck with a monitor with a failed USB hub and no recourse. Definitely do not recommend this monitor. ... show more

  • Good overall a few bad pixels
Overall a very good monitor. Very bright, high refresh rate, HDR is killer. The only downside is that there are a small cluster of pixels near the left edge that are bad. It is only noticeable with a black background. It’s not worth returning as it doesn’t really bother me. But is something to note in terms of quality control. ... show more

  • Good compromise for ultrawide gaming
This monitor is a great middle-ground between great visual clarity while still maintaining an ultrawide format. I wanted to make the jump to ultrawide, but wanted a panel besides VA and a refresh rate of 120hz+. The biggest reasoning for going with the IPS panel was due to VA panels being notorious for ghosting. Comparing this monitor to my BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 (my previous daily), it is pretty obvious this monitor won't hit the performance level of a 'gaming' oriented monitor. Despite this, this monitor still performs exceptionally well in gaming. Ghosting is at a minimal, and when tested side-by-side with the BenQ, the MSI can hold its own. There IS a slight blur when testing with the Blur Busters UFO test, but this can be further mitigated by activating the MPRT Sync option in the OSD (Activating MPRT will produce a less-blurred image when in motion, but will lower the overall brightness of your monitor). The 1440p resolution is a great step up from 1080p and is enhanced by the ultrawide aspect ratio. To be honest, I don't think I could go back to 16:9 after making the switch. If you want an ultrawide format but dislike the ghosting of VA panels, this is a great choice, especially if having it flat instead of curved isn't a dealbreaker. ... show more

  • Great value IPS ultrawide monitor.
Great IPS monitor. The monitor is bright and 34 inches is enough to be flat. The USB C cable works flawlessly with my Mac (with the advertised refresh rate).

  • Excellent Monitor with poor calibration/settings out of the box
TLDR: Great screen (once setup) and useful KVM First, the things I don't particularly like. 1. I have to switch the KVM and Input profiles separately. I have yet to decypher the "Macro" button on the bottom of the screen. 2. Poor Brightness/Contrast settings out of the box. The things I loved: 1. Gaming at the refresh rate is amazing and incredibly immersive. No dead or "funny" pixels. 2. The KVM and how well it works switching between my work laptop and personal desktop. Other Thoughts: 1. I was debating on flat vs curved screens. While curved screens look more interesting, I find I can use this large flat panel much better than a curved one. 2. When switching the KVM, my wireless mouse goes to sleep instantly. Not a fault of the monitor or anything. ... show more
