Just hooked UP the OPTIXMAG273R. Sides of the display 'about 1 inch' is dimmer then the rest of the panel, top and bottom are not affected. No DP cable included. The display does not extend to the edge of the bezel about 1/4 inch of unused panel on the sides and top. However seems like a great monitor for the low price I paid $260, but would not want to pay more for it. Was using an old 32" HDMI TV prior to this. It will take me some time to figure out how to set it up correctly. Think I need a display port cable to get g-sync working. UPDATE: Been gaming for almost two weeks on this monitor, I do not notice the edge being dimmed at all, while gaming. Using it for content creation or office work could be annoying. ... show more

Arguably the best monitor out there for gaming without breaking the bank. Was recommended this from a friend and I ended up buying two. Great picture and screen quality. I guess another cool thing is it has RGB lights in the back so if you really need those it has them.

Alright so Ive seen a few reviews and the like saying that this monitor doesn't work with new gen consoles and i wanted to let everyone know It DOES work for the Xbox series x, now it might work the same way for the PS5 im not sure because i don't have that one. I originally bought this monitor for my PC so i wasn't to concerned for consoles fps. All i did for it to work was a few steps: 1: Enable Free-Sync on the monitor itself 2: Enable the advanced tv/monitor setting on the console 3: Change the refresh rate from 60 to 120 and done Photo is attached for proof in my case. ... show more

The fluidity of this monitor is bar none. The colors are to be desired, but you have to consider it is not made for design or anything of that nature, colors are not washed by any means, just not nearly as good as an IPS monitor or design monitor. As a gaming monitor this has to be the best monitor I have used in terms of responsiveness for FPS games--even in other games where it takes split second decision making, this monitor makes it happen. ... show more
