*******EDIT: BUY a DP cable. I decided to buy one and just give it a shot. I'm not exactly sure what the technically difference is, but the monitor seems even more and faster.****** I needed a new monitor in the 24.5" range for CS specifically. The refresh rate is high enough for me, and it's a very fast, responsive monitor. With that being said, a lot of cheaper monitors are offering similar specs, but don't perform because they'll have ghosting or other issues. I'm not experiencing any ghosting on this monitor. It has been absolutely crisp and clear for me. So perfect for CS2. At this price point, I was honestly very skeptical and doubtful. But I decided to give it a shot and I couldn't be any happier with it. The color is also solid. It just looks great overall. I had to make an adjustment on the color mode (it was set to something funky out of the box that wouldn't display greens, or hardly any color), but it was a simple adjustment from whatever it was on (I forget) to sRGB. The moment I did that, it looked amazing. Keep in mind it only comes with an HDMI cable. However, it's HDMI 2.0b. So you do NOT need a DP cable. You will get 180hz on HDMI on this monitor (I've confirmed this on mine). From what I read about HDMI 2.0b is it doesn't seem like there would be any reason to get a DP cable (this monitor has a 1.2a DP port specifically). I do plan on getting a DP cable just to test it out to see if there is any difference, but I play CS specifically, and I'm telling you, this monitor is absolutely sweet. It's all you truly need for CS. I've had it for a few days now and I am beyond impressed. Now, I am just hoping it lasts. I'll provide an update if it doesn't. ... show more

was looking for a budget friendly monitor for gaming on a newly built pc. came across this one and took a chance -- beautiful and great quality, and swivels all the way! games look amazing and will probably end up buying a second matching monitor

Low brightness, blurred . I had playing with all settings, no result. It might be used for gaming, not sure. Strongly not recommended for office or CAD work. I returned it immediately. Good thig -Amazon has great return politic.

good monitor. I received it without dead pixels, the picture quality is excellent. Unfortunately there are some backlight bleeding, but not so much. Before that I bought an Asus and I returned it. Compared to Asus, this msi monitor is perfect for the same money
