I updated this review weeks ago, but don't know why it didn't post. I ended up ordering a second laptop to replace my first one. I'm glad I did because it is everything I could have wanted. Customer service from Amazon has been an absolute nightmare for this product. The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced in fact. But the replacement laptop is fantastic and I'm so happy with it. Previously: This laptop could have been absolutely amazing if not for the fatal error I couldn't resolve. I tried updating drivers, updating to windows 11, contacting manufacturer, and contacting Asurion for warranty. The laptop was amazing for gaming. It would go for hours. But when I was trying to do regular work, the computer would crash every couple of minutes. I lost a lot of billable hours trying to get the computer to work. Because the errors seem to be related to regular use rather than gaming, I suspect something may be wrong with the graphics card. I spoke with an IT friend and they also thought it was hardware related. (UPDATE: It was the RAM) I was getting the following errors: Stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS OR EQUAL Stop code: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED Stop code: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED AREA Hopefully my replacement will work just fine, because I really like this laptop otherwise. ... show more

It was fine when I first got it, it did seem to run a little hot so I kept a fan on it. The it started, or I should say restarted. It would say there was an issue and had to restart over and over again. I would disable things and it would work fine for a while then it would do the same thing. Now, I'm locked out because it won't recognize my pin or let me reset it. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. ... show more

Update: So I bought this in 2022 and it’s been fantastic regarding general function, however, the hinges are NOT well made. I have had laptops ranging from low end HP’s all the way to this current MSI (the nicest computer I’ve personally ever owned) and every laptop has lasted longer than 2 years before getting an upgrade. I’ve never had a hinge break before. Considering the price on the computer, such a minor part oversight is actually incredibly silly. After paying for labor and parts to get it fixed, I’m out another $400. That all said, the performance on this computer can still handle the highest tier games without any issues even 2 years later. ———————————————————————— As the title says, this thing is fast! The downside is that it’s extremely hot. Even the power adapter gets hot enough to cause some mild concern. (Update on the power supply: some games take up so much energy that the power supply can’t handle it and does lose function (Horizon Zero Dawn). I’d still recommend this laptop to anyone.
