I purchased this product just so I could have some fun. This is great for musicians or aspiring musicians who want to learn how to play mallet percussion. I love the mallet muters that come with this, but you do have to hit the mallets at a certain angle so they can work. The glockenspiel itself has the notes embedded into the instrument. It's holdable and easy to carry. There are two downsides I noticed with this product. Some of the notes are out of tune, but if you're playing for fun, that shouldn't matter too much. Since the case is just a one pocket case (for the instrument itself), there is no where to put the mallets where they won't bang against the glockenspiel. Overall, this product is pretty good for beginners or musicians that just want to have fun. ... show more

If you’re new to the instrument this is a great version to try out. The amount of keys really interested me. I wanted a good span for different sounds overall. Terrific mallets and mutters help with getting acquainted to the play style too.

There were many to choose from, I’m glad I brought this one, there are so many out there. This one really has a nice tone. It’s convenient it folds and comes with a nice carry case. I even really like the mallets that come with it you can cover them with an enclosed softener that calms down the sound and gives it a very nice tone.     • Return... to China?
This instrument arrived in a semi-timely fashion (just a day outside the range I was given). It's a beautiful instrument and sounds decent (to an untrained ear). It was a birthday gift for my husband. Alas, it was not the right season of life for this particular gift, so we decided to return it. However, in spite of having shipped from California, we were given a CHINA address to return it to, and we were expected to pay shipping. To ship to China with tracking would cost over $35!! I definitely don't trust international shipping enough to skip tracking. So unfortunately we're stuck with the instrument. At least it's a decent one. ... show more

Fast shipping and the glockenspiel exceeded my expectations as a beginner. I love the sound. This was worth every penny and I recommend it to anyone who is a beginner or even a professional at playing the glockenspiel.

    • So much fun!
I'm recently retired and bought this to add a little fun in my life. Very easy to use, easy to fold up and store. Very pretty sound, though not perfect, but is exactly what I expected for the money. I may have to invest in a larger one someday.

    • Good starter glockenspiel
This glockenspiel has several nice features, most notably that it folds up and comes with a case for easy storage/transport. All of the bars sounded great on 1st use, except one, but it was an easy adjustment with a screwdriver. Comes with a pair of mallets; good starter kit!
