The finish is beautiful, it feels sturdy, and is the perfect size for any room, especially if you are not wanting to have a big, bulky piece taking up a ton of space. Although it comes in a thousand pieces, the instructions are clearly written, nothing gave us any trouble, and it all fit together nicely without issue. It definitely requires two people though. The media could not be loaded. Absolutely obsessed with this Mr. Kate Winston Fireplace. It’s absolutely what I have been looking for for years. It feels right at home with the original features of my 1950’s home. I’ve used it every day since building it a week ago. It throws off a good amount of heat. I live the height of the mantle. It feels substantial like a real fireplace does. The fire looks really nice at night and there are some subtle touches of embers falling. The wood leans a little bit lighter than I thought it would. Would love if they made options in the future for different tones of wood. But I still love it. It would be best put together with two people. As having my sister in law help me was pretty essential at one point. The one thing I wish it had was an option for a crackle fire sound. But that’s not a Mr. Kate thing… that’s just the brand of fireplace. ... show more

If you're trying to decide whether or not to get this fireplace, decide no more! It is easy to assemble, sturdy material and absolutely beautiful! The only thing that was unexpected was that the fireplace has a marbled look to it. Not as off white as it looks in the picture, but I'm still absolutely in love with it. I think it looks very high end and modern, but still keeping with a vintage, homey feel. Have gotten many compliments on it in our charming little farmhouse! ... show more
