So, I picked this up, because I misread the description. (I thought it came assembled, which is on me.) Got annoyed about the assembly instructions, since they cover how to assemble half of a horizontal shelf. However, once I did that, it wasn't to hard to use intuition and basic math to figure out how to do the rest. (AKA you have 30 short poles. These vertically connect the horizontal shelves. The medium sheets cover each half of the horizontal shelves. The LONG Sheets wrap around 3 quarters, and the short sheets divide the horizontal shelves.) Took less time than any of my wooden shelving, and a lot less cursing. This is not to say I wasn't channeling Captain Howdy possessing Reagan in the Exorcist at various steps, but less than trying to connect wooden pegs in a normal wooden bookshelf assembly. It's not particularly as sturdy as a wooden shelving unit, but given I bought this mainly to house the YA and tween reading chapter books I found in Mom's attic during the cleaning of the estate, it's working well for holding old Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew/Tom Swift/Fear Street/Christopher Pike paperbacks. The bottoms isn't half bad at holding old hardcover picture books from when I was learning to read. So, yeah, will probably by another one once everything I've brought out of the basement is shelved. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So for the price of this shelf it’s not too bad however it has some flaws while building it a few times I would accidentally build it wrong and pulling the tubes out from the holes was difficult and when stacking them and putting the metal tubes in the holes it can be hard as well especially with the fabric the goes with it and around it once or twice while trying to remove the tube it snapped and lucky it wasn’t too bad I fixed it with packing Tape but still a pain none the less put it gets the job done and looks great with my funko’s on it so I like it ... show more

Okay first, for the cost, worth it. Now the directions are ghastly so! I would suggest putting the rods into the sleeves before sliding them into the plastic connectors. Then build each shelf and attach them together from the bottom upward. Because otherwise trying to slide the sleeves onto the rods was a menace. And you will frustrate the crap out of yourself. My boyfriend and I bought 4 of these to use for our Funko Pop collection. We have a massive collection that’s constantly growing, and are trying to fit them all in an apartment on the 3rd floor with no elevator. So lightweight and easy to take apart was a huge sell for us. Pair that with the price and we were sold. They didn’t work like we’d hoped.The sections are thin plastic, heavy enough to hold books if that’s what you’re buying it for, or even great for clothing, but our pops not so much. They only fit 4 in each section, 2 if you have 2 pop moments, or one if it’s a special type. The pops tend to move around as we walk since there’s little support, but I am more than happy to use them to compliment my closet space. ... show more

I bought this for my son to display his figurines and other collectable items he's accumulated over the years, and once we put it together, I realized the surface you'd sit things on is not quite sturdy enough to keep things sitting up right. I'm sure it would work great if you had books only, but I thought this would be more like flat shelves. Instead is just plastic material pulled tight. I would not purchase again. ... show more

Now listen. There are two ways you can go about assembling this. You can either test to see how much someone loves you by having them help you assemble it or you can test how much you hate yourself by assembling it alone. Either way you will experience pain from the constant bending and ill-fitting rods. HOWEVER. If you make it to the end, you'll be glad you did because for the price, it isn't all that bad and does hold good weight. You might experience a little snappy-snap of the rods here and there and you may even experience a little snappy-snap of your mind but in conclusion, I recommend it if you want to save money and store some of whatever you like to store. ... show more

I have a little hobby area for small woodworking projects and needed a place for tools and supplies. When I received this item, I was actually pretty pissed off when I realized I hadn't looked at the description close enough and saw the shelving and panels were reinforced plastic sheets and not particulate.
