It is still standing and I had an easy time assembling. You can tell it's a cheaper product but it does work for its purpose. You can fit quite a bit on it. I haven't had any issues with stability.

Great bookshelf! For the price, I definitely would get it again! It’s kind of hard to put together but once you figure that out it’s pretty stable. It’s also quite large! Please note that the shelves and siding are made of like canvas, not solid plastic; but the beams are metal.

The material for the shelves is weird it feels like vinyl almost. I have some books on there but I also wanted to put some action figures I have and they don’t stand up. The material is super flimsy so if you plan on using anything other than books it won’t hold up. Putting it together is a mega pain too. Took me almost 2 hours to put it together and it kept falling apart. It gets the job done but it’s not my favorite ... show more

Missing two of the short connector pipes, which was frustrating. The long pieces of fabric meant to wrap around the sides and back do not fit well at all, so badly that I was forced to give up on them and just waste that material. The fabric and pipes themselves are clearly very cheaply made. Does seem like it could buckle with any significant amount of weight. I love this stand it’s very sturdy and spacious. I purchased it for my kids room and it was perfect for their books, puzzles, etc. I have to say it was a little frustrating putting it together at first but I figured it out and succeeded.

I have a really small apartment. I used this stand in the bathroom to put towels, soaps, toilet paper and other misc items. This was really easy to put together. It took less than 39 minutes. The cubes are made of fabric. So it is very light. I haven't had any issues with it. I had some cubes from something else. and they fit just fine. So, I picked this up, because I misread the description. (I thought it came assembled, which is on me.) Got annoyed about the assembly instructions, since they cover how to assemble half of a horizontal shelf. However, once I did that, it wasn't to hard to use intuition and basic math to figure out how to do the rest. (AKA you have 30 short poles. These vertically connect the horizontal shelves. The medium sheets cover each half of the horizontal shelves. The LONG Sheets wrap around 3 quarters, and the short sheets divide the horizontal shelves.) Took less time than any of my wooden shelving, and a lot less cursing. This is not to say I wasn't channeling Captain Howdy possessing Reagan in the Exorcist at various steps, but less than trying to connect wooden pegs in a normal wooden bookshelf assembly. It's not particularly as sturdy as a wooden shelving unit, but given I bought this mainly to house the YA and tween reading chapter books I found in Mom's attic during the cleaning of the estate, it's working well for holding old Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew/Tom Swift/Fear Street/Christopher Pike paperbacks. The bottoms isn't half bad at holding old hardcover picture books from when I was learning to read. Initially, I purchased this for an area that a toddler has access to, but it was so flimsy I realized that would not work and decided to use it in my office. The structure went together fairly easily. However, the canvas material meant to wrap around the sides and back is at least 3" too short to do what it was designed for. I ended up using super long zip ties to secure the fabric. It works and isn't too distracting with how I did it but still. And then it was missing one of the connecting side pieces so instead of having 10 cubes, I only have 9. Again not a big deal but it's annoying. ... show more
