They are comfortable right out of the box. You will have to adjust the trucks for preferred agility. They come with a tool but i have a y tool that is awesome that I purchased seperately These skates are very high quality made by Reidell. The gummy wheels ride lovely on boardwalk and pavement. No skaking or jiggling. I have worn them inside with the gummy wheels but it is not fun as they are way too grippy. I change out the wheels with roller bones 98A for indoor skating they are smooth like butter. Worth every penny. I absolutely love moxi lollys. You will not be disappointed. I haven’t skated since I was 5 and I was using impalas to start off but I really wanted these! Right off the bat, the gummy wheels gave me a lot more confidence and I was falling as much. There isn’t a lot of ankle support but I like that about them. I don’t know a lot about skates but I preferred these to the impala. I added different toe stops. Get these limited editions. They did not come with the Barbie Chain , so I reached Riedell and they are sending it out. Awesome ! Advice? Had a hard time with the sizing-overthought it. Just Follow the guide. Love the color- strawberry. They are comfy and appear well made. Gorgeous really. I changed the lace up as I’m a hair wide in my toe bed , they will stretch with time. Wow wow wow After so many years from hanging my skates 3 children later and allowed life to take over skating was a distant memory my original white leather boot skates size 8 were now too small and after watching the movie Roll Bounce several times sparked up my inner skating spirit yes at my age I needed to be more realistic with attempting to do any dancing tricks as I did back in the 80’s.this time I did research on which were the best skates to purchase and decided on these classic strawberry pink skates. The fact that they were limited Malibu Barbie edition made it more a more attractive purchase. Yes a little bit more than I wanted to pay but well worth it. I was practical and realistic considering my age and purhased all the protective gear and yes tube socks I’m taking it slow by practicing and acclimating my feet and body to my soft suede skates by rolling inside for 10 minutes at a time. Once the confidence builds will gradually go outside and eventually the roller rinks. However will proudly and unapologetically wear my protective gear also moxie gear Well you never know once all confidence is returned will eventually dance on skates Don’t let your age hinder you from living Hence my hashtag #SK8NG@60 !!! Almost forgot although reading reviews of sizing down I personally did not I purchased the 9 leaving room for thick tube socks They fit great!! ... show more

These skates are really cute and seem really well made. The one thing I don't really care for is the cut out "M" on the boot because with my memory foam insert inside, it hits me right on a bad part of the ankle. Its fine if im wearing socks that cover my ankles, but I wear low cuts alot. Otherwise, the sizing is great—my foot is 9.5 inches and I ordered the 7. Without inserts they fit ok, but with inserts the fit is perfect. The color is beautiful, the leather is soft and pliable. The craftsmanship is awesome.
