I've been searching for a nice but not crazy expensive pair of skates for outside. I currently have reidell 120's for rink skating. I tried Moxie panthers but the plates are lower to the ground, heavy, and hard to adjust to (boots were very comfy though). I then tried btfl's and the boots felt flimsy, and the plates and trucks seemed less stable. Finally I ordered these, first in a size 8, the same size I ordered in the panthers, they were too big, so I reordered in a 7 ( I'm an 8.5-9), and the 7's were perfect. The boots are comfortable with some ankle support, the plates feel responsive, and the wheels are just right for outside on sidewalks and concrete. I'm very happy!

Been on the fence about these for. Long time ! So glad I decided to buy. The color is beautiful the feel of the skate is comfortable . Just buy it you won’t be disappointed. Very beginner over 40 haven’t skated in 20 yrs friendly !

Pros: I love the way they look. They're cute and the beachy theme is attractive. They fit nice. I bought an 8 and usually wear an 8.5-9.0 shoe size. They're pretty soft suede and seem to not rub my leg raw. Cons: for the price point that the skates are I think that the heel of the boot could be made of real wood and not plastic and the plate that the trucks are mounted to should be made of a lightweight metal instead of a nylon/plastic. The footbed is very hard but can be solved by using an insole for more cushion. The use of plastic makes these look cheaply made looking up close. From a distance, you can't tell it's plastic. I don't plan on doing any crazy tricks with these so I'm not worried about the plastic parts breaking on me so it's fine with me. I'm still giving it five stars.

I purchased these skates after getting back into roller skating after 10+ years, and was previously using my Chicago skates. These Moxi skates are beautiful, I love the blue & pink Barbie/Ken combo (that's how I see it), and the boot is comfortable, easy to slip on, and very nice! I am enjoying practicing and learning basic movies in my kitchen with these. The wheels feel slicker than my other light up wheels on my Chicago skates. These are very nice skates, and they came with the crab tool and Barbie key chain. I highly recommend them, I enjoy them, they're beautiful and sleek. And made in America, which I love!

My wife loves these skates. She went through several pair before finding something that fit well. She did change the wheels as they come with outdoor wheels and she skates primarily in a rink. Moxi are made by Riedell which is a near top of the line brand. They have low end skates and super expensive skates. Moxi falls in the middle of their offerings. If you really want to learn about what makes a quality skate and how to size yourself Look up a you tuber named Skatie (the one with the roller skate logo) then find her group on the book of faces. Moxi is on the approved list vetted by industry pros. A lot of the skates here on the Zon are white lable junk. Don't buy those. They range from low quality to downright dangerous. Buy a reputable brand please!

Wow wow wow After so many years from hanging my skates 3 children later and allowed life to take over skating was a distant memory my original white leather boot skates size 8 were now too small and after watching the movie Roll Bounce several times sparked up my inner skating spirit yes at my age I needed to be more realistic with attempting to do any dancing tricks as I did back in the 80’s.this time I did research on which were the best skates to purchase and decided on these classic strawberry pink skates. The fact that they were limited Malibu Barbie edition made it more a more attractive purchase. Yes a little bit more than I wanted to pay but well worth it. I was practical and realistic considering my age and purhased all the protective gear and yes tube socks I’m taking it slow by practicing and acclimating my feet and body to my soft suede skates by rolling inside for 10 minutes at a time. Once the confidence builds will gradually go outside and eventually the roller rinks. However will proudly and unapologetically wear my protective gear also moxie gear Well you never know once all confidence is returned will eventually dance on skates Don’t let your age hinder you from living Hence my hashtag #SK8NG@60 !!! Almost forgot although reading reviews of sizing down I personally did not I purchased the 9 leaving room for thick tube socks They fit great!!

Skates look great, aside from an eyelet missing on one skate. Both sides should have 9 but one only has 8… I wonder if it makes a difference?
