Get these pedals if you want a classic low-profile platform with some decent molded in aluminum nubs to hold your feet in place, but don't want the sharpness and risk-to-shins of screw-in spikes. Those are my own go-to and well worth it, but some riders need less grip and they also need less risk to shins if they bump the pedal. The good news: adjustable bearings. The bad news: you'll probably have to adjust them. This takes five minutes if you've done it before with the same 12mm locking nut on the outside end of the spindle, which you loosen, then back out the race a turn, and then tighten the lock nut to see if that's close enough. This can take a few tries since I don't usually have a way to hold the race in place while I tighten the lock nut. In other words, these pedal bearings adjust like Campagnolo quills or pista pedals of yore, MKS old school pedals, and most older pedals. They're not sealed bearings but it's useful to know these are an adjustable type since most new pedals are too tight out of the box (including all those old Campagnolo, MKS, Lyotard...) Now they are adjusted to smooth running, these are likely to last a long time as long as the bearing cups and races are decent quality.

I give them 3 stars because they are pedals and do work in a pinch. The bearings are not smooth at all, so I would not suggest these for any serious riding, but they served me in a pinch and the price is right.
