I put on events that involve 50-150 people in large rooms. After growing tired of trying to shout over people or using a friend's underpowered portable PA, I began looking for my own solution. I have purchased roughly 10 different portable speaker/karaoke machines trying to find the right solution. All of them have had flaws - not being loud enough, having crackles or pops in their audio, having microphones that rattle, and on and on. Until the Moukey. Finally, a portable speaker that is LOUD. And CLEAR. No crackles or pops in the audio. I used this at our most recent event, held in a full-size church gymnasium. It was plenty loud for that task. Microphone connectivity is great. I was able to freely walk around at 30+ feet from the speaker without any drops. I have tried it with bluetooth connectivity and that works great as well. You can control the volume of the microphone separate from the bluetooth volume. And there are settings for echo, treble, bass, etc. And, in case you're wondering, yes, you can turn off the LED lights. So, why not 5 stars? Well, because of a number of design nitpicks: 1) The AC adapter plugs into the top of the unit. This is awkward and also has the effect of artificially shortening the already not-long power cord. It should plug into the back though I'm sure this has to do with where the battery for the unit is actually located, etc. 2) Speaking of the power adapter, it would be nice if it were USB type-C instead of a standard AC adapter. Would be great to be able to attach a power brick to this and let it run all day wireless. 3) Only one wireless microphone is included and there's no way to add a second one (I asked). You can add wired microphones but it would've been great if you could add a second wireless. 4) There's no place on the unit to store the AC adapter or remote control. The microphone can hook into a holder on the side but there's no compartment or anything for the adapter and remote. That's kind of annoying. The above are minor nitpicks. Overall, this is a terrific speaker that absolutely does the job. ... show more

It's best if you have started on a beginner machine as this is fairly advanced. Great sound, solid, and has two microphones. Our 6 year old can operate it but she started on a beginner one.

I purchased the Moukey Karaoke, double 10" speaker system. The good: The battery lasted a long time, and the speakers seem loud enough for my living room/kitchen area. The wired mic ports work great if you don't want to hassle with mic batteries (I purchased 4 different wired mics and found 2 were at the same loudness as the wireless mics, but there were 2 mics that I could barely hear anything (I verified it was just those mics, and not the mic port)). The system seems to work when plugged in vs only using battery power (but didn't get a chance to verify this since my unit appears to be fully charged now). The bad: Speakers kept making a loud popping noise every so often, which was so loud it made me jump (but it seems to have gone away on its own). TRUE: the bass and the treble adjustments do absolutely nothing, so I'm still debating returning it before the return window expires. The wireless mic batteries run low quickly (~4hrs), so one minute there's sound, then no sound, then when you switch it off and back on, there will be sound for a little bit, until it goes out again. The mic volume controls the volume level for all mics, so if you have a quieter mic, you cannot make it louder and the other quieter. You literally have to have the unit backed against an outlet to use the ac adapter that came with it since the cord is very short and it needs to plug into the top of the unit vs the back. ... show more

Im happy with the purchase overall. I like the portability and battery power. Bought an extra microphone. Everything works just fine and its fun for the family. I wish the sound quality were a little better. Its loud enough for my house or backyard, but it cannot handle much base and the only way to switch the sound settings is on the remote. So if you lose that remote you will be stuck on that first sound option. ... show more
