I found this olive oil to taste quite fresh with the peppery after taste which is associated with high phenol levels and high-quality freshly pressed olive oil. I did not previously notice that in other olive oils before I read about it. It is quite distinct with this olive oil, however not unpleasant. I drank this olive oil out of a shot glass and the taste was fine. It tasted light and was not thick or heavy tasting. I normally use it in salads or for dipping bread into. It is a bit expensive which is why I took a star off for price for value. It may be good value for money but as I am not accustomed to buying high quality olive oil it just might be my own prejudice about it. In any case, I will buy it again. However, I will probably not cook with it because the heat from cooking will change the chemical composition of the olive oil and may decrease its nutritional value. I will just continue to use it “raw” on salads and for dipping. I will use lesser quality and less expensive olive oil for cooking. ... show more

It's a miracle it arrived intact. The package was so badly damaged I removed two 500ml bottles just by pulling them through a hole in the dilapidated cardboard carton. The olive oil is great, wonderful flavor.
