This is the 3rd silk duvet I have purchased from this seller. This is a wonderful product, VERY lightweight yet VERY warm, a bit too warm for me even in winter in NW FL. Because it seemed unrealistically warm for the weight of the product and the fill did not have the distinctive silk scent, I started researching and read a few reviews stating the product is not silk, but polyester. Regrettably, I pulled off a piece of the inner silk and burned it as instructed for the silk authenticity test. The threads burned to a fine powder as expected from an organic product and not into a plastic ball as it would if it were man made. So, the filler could be silk, cotton, rayon, linen based on the burn test. I regret pinching off some of the silk because if you watch a video of the Chinese women carefully stretching and layering the woven silk, it seems like a sacrilege. ... show more

So soft. So lightweight, yet substantial. So cooling in the summer. Such a great price. I wish there were an option to purchase a washable case made of the same material as the outside of the blanket. That would make this the most perfect silk duvet.

I am pleased with the quality of the comforter. It is filled with genuine silk, so it is very light and breathable and yet warm enough for a cold summer day in western New York. I also like the decorative tacks on the comforter that hold down the silk fillings. Great value.

My queen-sized quilt arrived very wrinkled. I contacted the seller to ask if the quilt could be steamed. (Product info says it cannot be ironed.) The seller did not answer my question about steaming but instead said the wrinkles would come out after several weeks of laying on a bed. He also suggested I buy their quilt duvet to cover the wrinkles. I have had the quilt on a guest bed since I bought it a month and a half ago, and it is still wrinkled. It is also much too large for the queen quilt duvet I already own. In addition, the quilt has a strange odor that has receded somewhat, but not entirely. Sure got my money worth on this beautiful Silk comforter. Couldn't be happier! It's light weight and keep me warm with air-conditioner on without being to hot. I'm a senior and simply can not tolerate any blanket or comforter with polyester they just get too hot and all though I like high quality down I get asthma problems so I turned to this silk comforter and it is just right and was beautifully packed with a cloth storage bag and a lovely wash cloth as a gift. what a wonderful merchant. in case you wonder I am not compensated for writing this review just a very happy customer. I would have given this silk comforter 5 stars but was disappointed to learn –alas, after I received it –that it cannot be washed. Not very practical especially in a home with pets. That being said, I do love the light weight. I live in California, and I can use it all year round. and let me debunk the misinformation in a previous review, the comforter is filled with spun silk threads , but the outer cover is cotton.
