    • A very nice machined hub for a Buick Lacrosse
My 2011 Buick Lacrosse CXS was starting to show the wear at 210K miles with hub bearing noise. I took out my manual but referred to a video as well since Chiltons is not always right. Installation is not so bad if you have the tools and only took a variety of sockets and such. I had to purchase a 32mm impact socket to remove the shaft nut but the rest are normal metric sockets. The part itself is very nice with a threaded hole for the screw that keeps the rotor aligned prior to lug nuts. I chose Moog over AC-Delco since reviews stated the Delco parts did not have the hole. My hubs needed a bit of convincing to pop out but not too bad. I was prepared to rent a puller if it was bad. Installation was easier than removal of course but I was torn a bit on the torque specs for the shaft nut and the hub mounting bolts. Chiltons specified 185lb for the shaft nut and 80lb for the hub nuts but some online mechanics had lower numbers so I stuck with Chiltons. Moog 513288 - fit like a glove - easy to replace the old with the new - in and out in under an hour on the driveway on my knees - In a shop setting, probably 30 minutes. Original was started to hum and a slight occasional wiggle after 100,000 miles . Immediately noticed the improvement on the first drive. Time will tell how these hold up as we are the second owners of the vehicle - bought it at 95,000. ... show more
