  • Great Product!
Size: 30" Wide x 15" Deep Color: Black
Montezuma ME300B Portable Toolbox, 30”x15”, Black Summary - Montezuma has built a stand-alone toolbox for the hard worker needing tools wherever he may go. The toolbox offers a wide variety of options such as color, size and metal type. The different sizes offer a wide range of storage capacity and can help you determine the type of toolbox needed for your job. I have listed the positives and negatives of the toolbox for anyone who may be interested in the Montezuma Toolbox’s. Positives - This toolbox stands alone when it comes to quality. For example, the welds are not spot welds and it all holds together very well. As a farmer, this toolbox gets it fair share of abuse. My boss and his brother both have these toolboxes, which led me to purchase one as well. My boss has the 30x15” aluminum toolbox, and his brother has the 36x17” steel box. Both of which are superior to anything else out there. If you find anything like these, I suggest not buying them until you look at or see the Montezuma first. Everything you put in here will stay in place because the lid closes tightly against the sockets or drawers. The handles to pick this box up are heavily attached to the box; so much so that we ratchet them to our truck bed tie-downs to keep it from sliding around in the bed. The lid has the air assisted arm to easily unlatch for easy access. Negatives - This toolbox is heavy and not just when it’s full; the steel box is heavy from the get-go. When I first got this box, I lifted it in to my bed and was shocked at how heavy it was. I didn’t buy the aluminum model because I didn’t feel the extra price was worth it. The handles sit more towards the back of the box and when you lift it, it tilts forwards due to the weight on the front side. With all the tools inside, and the price of the box alone, the security of this box is worrisome. Overall Rating - 4.5/5 stars. This toolbox is beyond anything I thought it would be. It’s so handy to have all the tools you could need on the side of the road, in the middle of the field or out in the pasture. The pros outweigh the cons by far and I believe that these toolboxes are expensive, but only because the quality is what you are paying for. Great product by far, Montezuma! ... show more

  • Hope this helps you too.

More on the nose then witty. Last thing I want on the job is witty. Montezuma. Socket rail sizing? No . That's the complaint. Not cheap. I care about the product. It suits form and function. Useablity. Dry and clean. Organized reach saves minutes tool loss and ✌️ of mind. The why ain't it. It is personal. The improvement . That would raise the roof is pins . That solidly position mechanical or locking peg. Would improve the product. Snapin off pins to fit a coustom set is cringe worthy at best. The locking mech is meh 😕. I highly recommend the box that saves you. I can't buy more time. Trust yourself love one another. ... show more

  • Love it

Best tool box ever. Bought one for my road truck. I loved it so much bought one for the shop box. This one box holds more the most to chest boxes. And everything you need is on lid away, no searching drawers any more

  • Not what I expected.
Size: 23" Wide x 13" Deep Color: Black
The toolbox is very sturdy; however, the handles were very hard to put on. My overall thoughts are your limited to the type of tools you can have in the box. I have a table with limited space and flipping the front up makes it unable to have any items attached to the back wall over the toolbox. If you are looking for an item for the countertop, seek a regular toolbox and for the price you pay for this you can buy a much larger box at Home Depot. I will be selling at a garage sale. ... show more

  • Great tool box
Size: 23" Wide x 13" Deep Color: Black
Have wanted a Montezuma for years but faced with hauling the most tools possible while keeping as much bed space open as possible was my challenge. When my truck bed started to rust away I built a flatbed and the first thing I ordered was a Montezuma box. The smallest version was the one I wanted due to the hight of my other boxes. Holds all the tools I had originally in two side mount boxes and then some. Drive a lot of gravels roads and in midwestern weather all year long and no issues. Haul all kinds of stuff in the bed that bangs up against it, back side is slightly scratched up but no dents. Had it on the truck a year and I like it so much I am ordering a 2nd one. Nice compact storage for your tools . ... show more

  • One Great Tool Chest
I have wanted one of these boxes for a while now and finally I have one. However instead of mounting it to the bed of my work truck I built an angle iron base frame with rollers so I could roll it to the back of the flat bed when I need it. And roll it up to the back of the cab when done. Two locking hasps keep it secured to the back of the cab when not in use and keep it from growing legs when no one's looking. One really nice feature of this box is that all of the sockets, wrenches, screw drivers are securely held in place when the lid of the tool chest is closed. This keeps my tools from wandering around the inside of the box while I'm driving around the ranch. Another nice feature of this style tool box is that every tool is visible and within easy reach, no more hard to open drawers to dig through, no more hidden tools rusting on the bottom of that old box. And the powder coat paint all but eliminates scratched and chipped paint. This tool box is built extra heavy duty, with thick metal and no cheesy spot welds. Great construction, made in America, just like in the good ole days. My only regret is that I waited so long to buy one. I highly recommend this tool box to the serious minded mechanic or farm hand who needs a good solid reliable tool box or road chest. Well worth the money! ... show more
