Hands down for us the best-tasting of the Monster drinks. Been getting regular orders for the staff (we're caffeine junkies!!) and bought four cases to stock up. But we think we've received counterfeits this time around. These new orders look and taste different from all other previous orders and from any other retail purchases: The taste wasn't the usual 'orange creamsicle' we've come to know. It tastes like bitter grapefruit with somewhat of a 'chemical' taste. The can differences weren't much to make us stop to question the integrity of the product. The taste, however, is very noticeably different and was enough to make several of us say "eww." We don't really feel any caffeine jolt from the suspect cans. The can texture is noticeably different on the suspect cans. The orange color is lighter and the silver that's mixed with the orange doesn't appear to be as 'deep' on the suspect cans. The can top was a different color, silver instead of orange. We weren't able to take a photo of this. The Monster logo on the pull tab of the can has always been printed using small dots. The logo printed on the pull tab of the suspect can is flat. The cash deposit text on the top of the can is in a different position and different font. The suspect can has "MI OR 10C" and the other can is written "OR MI 10C." There is a number of some kind to the right of the barcode that resembles a serial number. On the usual can, it's clear to read. On the suspect can, it's smaller, a different color, and very difficult to make out. There is a code in the white space to the left of the barcode. It's missing the N at the end and is a different size. The manufacturing date code on the bottom of the can is a completely different font, size and color. The ingredients list on the suspect can is very blurry. The photo we took is representative of the can and not out of focus. ... show more

So I've actually ordered this a few times from Amazon without incident and have been drinking zero ultra for even longer, but this last time I received my Amazon order I'm pretty sure I received a counterfeit product. The can isn't quite the right texture, the lid is silver and not white like it has always been, there are some very small differences in the way the ingredients are listed, and it doesn't quite taste right. If it had just been one of these things, I'd chalk it up to a bad batch that somehow got through quality control. But all of these in concert lead me to believe that, much like Alibaba was (potentially unknowingly) selling counterfeit Monster, Amazon may be doing the same. Whether they are aware of it or not is a different issue. ... show more

This is how I start my day. The white can of Monster Ultra is to me what that morning cup of coffee is to normal people. It is an integrated and critical part of my day. And as such, I cannot praise it any higher. It is my constant companion and my morning kick in the butt. In the three years I have been doing this, I have still not gotten bored with it. Unfortunately I have to 1 star this until the price is fair again. $48 for 24 cans is no different than the 2/4$ they're ALWAYS running at most major gas stations. Sam's club has these same packs for $32. Even with a $45 a year membership you still save if you're drinking almost one a day. Bring back that $32 price point Amazon! ... show more
