I have no intention of talking you into this plan by giving brainwashing example after example of the deals. I am also not going to gloss over the pitfalls and problems of the system either. It is not a get rich quick scheme and there is some risk involved. It takes some cash to run the system and I do not recommend doing on a shoestring. It takes some time but can be a lot of fun. However, it is possible to make a very good return on your investment. Today interest rates have almost shriveled up and died.     • The title of this book is misleading.
This book contains 299 pages of content. After page 77 mobile homes are never mentioned, and never really mentions the making money part. The majority of this book is about land lording in general, ie. leases, repairs, rent collection etc. Mr. Lloyd then writes a section about house flipping. The author notes that he is a carpenter by trade, and having been a contractor myself for over 30 years the information he provides is sound, and would be helpful to anyone who has little experience with home repair/construction or lacks knowledge in real estate. Perhaps Mr. Lloyd should do a third revision of this book. He could start by changing the title to something more along the lines of " Buying & Managing Rental Property" Then make his experience with mobile homes a section of that book. If I had purchased this book under that I wouldn't be as disappointed as I am now, because I thought I was buying a book on mobile home investing. Also if the author does go for a 3rd revision, he should hire a couple of proof readers to clean up the typos etc. before it goes to press. ... show more

    • Starts out on mobiles then goes off the tracks.
The book starts out on the subject of mobile homes as the title states but shifts less than half way through the book to the subject of traditional real estate. Buy and hold single family and multi family rentals. Flipping homes and the processes associated with it and never comes back to the subject of the book. MOBILE HOMES! Also full of typos. Very little info on the subject of money from mobile homes. ... show more
