Love these notebooks/ sketchbooks! I find it really hard to draw in anything else since I started using them years and years ago! The texture of the paper is SO smooth and matte feeling! I've never had a problem with bleed through onto the next page, even tho the pages are a little thin but I personally like the thin pages because it makes tracing old drawings for a clean version super easy. I've just never felt like they were too thin as some seem to complain? I've used thick brush pens on them before and it was fine. The weight and texture of the paper is really perfect imo. I also really love the soft cover. Again something about the texture and weight just feels good in your hands and the pocket in the back is always useful. These notebooks also hold up great imo. I always fill mine before they ever fall apart so...yeah... (kinda feel like people who have an issue with them falling apart just abuse their belongings/ don't take care of their stuff. Like yeah, duh, it'll probably bust if you toss it in the bottom of a over-stuffed purse everyday or has been chilling on your bedroom floor for a month.🙄) ANYWAYS, The little ribbon bookmark it comes with I could live without and honestly, I might just rip/ cut it out since I think it takes away from the simple design of the notebook as a whole, since it's grey and not black and I've always found those just kinda annoying personally. But that's really my only 'problem' with it. Love these notebooks tho, I like the smaller soft cover ones that come in the 3 pack as well. I literally have been using them for years and years and years as a professional artist. If you like to draw and are picky about the texture of your stuff like me, get this.

For the 3 pack moleskine cahier (“khi-yay”, French for notebook) You get 3 thinner 120pp books that add up to more thickness (360pgs total) vs 1 classic moleskine with 192pgs. Both have same style paper inside except all classic pages are perforated for detaching vs cahier where only last 16 sheets detach nicely. Cahiers have rear diagonal folder pocket and more plastic feel vs Classic has elastic bookmark & thicker (fake) leather-feel covers.

Can't really find anything better than a Moleskine for writing. Pages are smooth and college lined - if not smaller, so you can fit a lot of words into this book. i've had my current one since early this year and have been writing profusely on both back and front of pages and i'm still not even close to halfway through it. I would suggest not buying this if you are unsure if you'll like it/actually use it very much because the price is quite high and they're are comparable notebooks that are much cheaper. This book is made for a hand-writing lover; the paper is silky and off white with simple grey lines so very minimalist. it hold up well and is great to travel with, plus if you lose it there is a place in the front where you can enter your contact information. I highly recommend this notebook if you are serious about paper or even just like the style, but if you're not sure how much you'll use it, i wouldn't spend so much and i'd spring for a cheaper notebook of a similar style, which are pretty easy to find.

These sketchbooks are wonderful, the paper is smooth and thin and the book itself is flexible in a wonderful, portable way. It is a very comfortable sketchbook. However having bought a few of these from Amazon now, I've never received one without a dent that affects every page of the book. One was in the very center of the book. I'm too passive and lazy to return them for this reason but it would be nice if Amazon would start packing them better, and stop dropping them, or juggling them, whichever it is.

I use this Moleskine as a sketchbook. I love the look and softness of the cover, the ribbon page divider is handy and the inside cover pocket holds notes or drawings of inspiration. The paper is an off white and holds up to much erasing very well! Convenient size and easy to carry with you ...not big and bulky like other sketchbooks. Would make a great gift. Has a rich quality to it!

This is my favorite notebook in the world. I write in my journal every day and no other journal compares in my opinion - and I looked. I thought these had been discontinued because I had a harder and harder time finding them in stores and couldn't find them on the website - they were even out of stock here! I was so sad so I switched to a Claire Fontaine journal, which was nice, but it was always just a replacement for my favorite. This journal's pages aren't bright white so they're easy to look at, it's large but not so large as to be unwieldy, it has a ribbon bookmark to keep your place (the CF's pages are so bright, it's too big, and there's no ribbon!), and an elastic closure. It's perfect!!!!! There is no other journal made just like this one. Never stop making them Moleskine, please please please. I never thought I would wax poetic about a journal but I think I'm in love.
