I recently received a pair of Xitomy Moissanite Earrings, and I have yet to take them off—literally! I love the smaller-sized studs, and I wear them night and day. They are that comfortable. For your information, moissanite is silicon carbide, a mineral that occurs in nature. It is extremely rare and, therefore, produced in labs. Often preferred over diamonds in industrial applications due to its similarity to natural diamonds at a much lower cost, moissanite began to be produced for jewelry in the late 1990s. I, for one, am so happy they did! These lab-created diamond studs are set in sterling silver with an 18k white gold plating. The moissanite stones are stunning—they catch the light beautifully and have an impressive sparkle. Despite being lab-created, these moissanite earrings are graded just like natural diamonds, ensuring top-notch quality and clarity. The sterling silver with 18k white gold plating ensures durability, and they have held up really well with daily wear. They come in a lovely gift box with a certificate of cut/color/clarity, making them an excellent choice for any special occasion. I love earrings and will eventually take these off, but not today!

I expected these to be sparkly like real diamonds. The marketing claims that they are very shiny and sparkly. They came in a nice presentation box with some paper from GRA. I think these look more like toys than actual jewelry. I probably won’t wear them.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review. I have preferred Moissanite over diamonds for over 20 years now. Moissanite does naturally occur as it is silicon carbide crystals, but they are usually tiny crystals found in meteorites. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamonds and is nearly as hard at a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs scale. This pair of stud earrings are a classic 4 post design with a 0.5ct lab created stone in each setting. Each stone comes with a lab certificate as well. The materials fit and finish are all what I would expect from a much more expensive pair of earrings. The cut, color, and clarity are excellent and the fire is spectacular. My wife wears lots of Moissanite. People always think she has the most outrageously expensive diamonds, but none of her jewelry has diamonds. This pair of ear rings included a nice ring box to put them in (which is a bit odd but works nicely), a polishing cloth, lab certificates, each ear ring is in a separate and tagged little plastic zip-style bag, and all in a nice box. Definitely would make a very excellent gift or personal purchase. We love them.

These 0.5 CT Moissanite Stud Earrings from Xitomy are very nice looking, high-quality studs. The stones appear to be high-quality and, like the description states, tested as a diamond when using my thermal diamond tester. The thermal diamond tester is not sophisticated enough to tell the difference between a moissanite and a real diamond, but it will be able to identify a cubic zirconia. Based on my test, I’m 90% certain these are legit moissanite stones. Xitomy did include “GRA” certificates for each study, but I don’t put much stock in that. The stones are not engraved with the certificate IDs so there is not way to really link the certificates with the stones. At this price point, I would not expect them to be grading these, and I doubt they truly do. Also included is a nice gift/storage box, a set of silicone backs, and a cleaning cloth. Overall, they are beautiful studs with genuine stones, just don’t go believing the included certificates as this price point. I think they are still a good value for what they are.
