Pros: Easy to install, almost fool-proof diagram, and back plates with some wiggle room for error make these Moen towel bars very easy to install with just a few tools. They also look nice, and seem sturdy as far as the bracket attachment points. Con: The drywall anchors are pure garbage. I got one in, screwed the screw to it through the plate, no problem. The next couple, the screws turned the anchors in the drywall, so I had to disassemble everything, pull the screws and anchors out of the drywall, & get a pair of pliers to hold the drywall screw while I backed out the screw from it. After the 3rd time this happened, I switched the flimsy provided anchors to good, sturdy anchors, and from there everything was smooth sailing. The bars themselves feel a little lightweight, so I am anxious to see how they'll hold up under pressure with kids, clumsy adults, etc. using them. The set screws in the brackets are flat head screws, which is a little unusual, at least among the products with which I've worked in the past, but no big deal, just maybe noteworthy for some. ... show more

Purchased this towel rod. We found that, when installed as instructed, the towel rod spins freely in the supports. Of course it would, but I hadn't thought of that as other towel rods in the house are square. So, towels fall off a lot easier. After a while, one of the ends came loose and the rod fell out, so when I reconnected it, I put some sticky tack (aka mounting putty) in the support ends. One little ring around inside each support and it has stopped spinning freely. ... show more
