The oil made my 4N15 turbo diesel much quieter than Amsoil 5w30 Max Duty. It is running much smoother than before. I have also tried Hot Shot Secret 10w-40, but Mobil 1 felt much smoother and quieter and is much cheaper. I will be ordering again.

Yes, I know what the label says. “European Car Formula.” Yes, I put it in a 2002 Subaru WRX bugeye with an EJ257 block and EJ205 heads. And yes—this oil absolutely slaps. This engine is not stock, not delicate, and definitely not living an easy life. It sees spirited driving, boost, and the occasional questionable decision. After switching to Mobil 1 0W-40, cold starts are smoother, oil pressure is rock solid, and the motor just feels happier. No weird noises, no drama, no oil consumption surprises. The viscosity is perfect for a performance Subaru build, especially if you’re running tighter tolerances or want strong protection under heat and load. It’s thick enough when hot, flows great when cold, and inspires confidence every time I turn the key. Is it technically “European”? Sure. Does my Subaru care? Not even a little.
