Bought this for 2nd monitor for traveling remote work that fits in laptop bag and it works great. Plan on a seperate USB-C 2A power source for it, but does power off modern laptops USB. It also comes with all the cable permutations for USB and HDMI and USB-HDMI. Quality of display is great. I bought a seperate tablet stand for it, but it already has a cover and stand built in. Wow! No longer outfitting with new 4K LCD displays, just getting these clear, thin and beautiful units for the best of permanent and portable uses. Maybe a Home Assistant picture frame Dashboard with it in the frame!

The picture is great. I wish it had a built in kick stand. The case that holds it up is flimsy and struggles to stand up. I looked for stands but none of them maintain the easy portability.

DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR. I had to return it within a week of purchasing. I was looking for a small, sleek monitor to pair with my Mac Mini while traveling. At first, it seemed perfect — compact, lightweight, and worked great for a few days. But then the screen suddenly went black and fuzzy, and never turned on again. I returned it, clearly stating that it was a faulty product. That was nearly 10 weeks ago, and I still haven’t received my refund — even though they’ve had the monitor this entire time. Absolutely ridiculous. This monitor seems like a good deal, but I’m warning you: it will fail on you. I read the reviews, took the risk, and got burned. If you’re looking for a portable monitor for your Mac Mini (mine’s the M4 model), I highly recommend the ASUS ProArt 14-inch instead. Much better quality, and it’s been working flawlessly.

I’ve been very happy with this external monitor. Awesome for viewing large spreadsheets in high resolution. You can use the windows “zoom” feature in display settings to get the sizing right. I’ve been using 150-200%.

I've read that some indicate not true 4k. Well, I can tell you that I can distinquish a significant upgrade in detail and clarity from my 2K. The nits on this thing is close to the sun. I had to drop the brightness to about 80%. The cover is magnetic and is completely detachable if you want to use a vesa mount or tablet holder. Menu button for the OSD is self centering so you get more of a tactile feedback instead of guessing if your scrolling where you want to scroll. 5-Stars for quality and clarity and being the product it claims to be.

Pro's: The display is nice, clear, and easy to look at This is a USB-C monitor so you only need to hook that up if you want to use it that way Cons: The stand is just dumb. Its magnetic, confusing, and more importantly paper thin. It also falls off if you so much as touch the monitor It has a Mini-HDMI connection on the monitor so no cables other than the 8 inch one it comes with are going to work There are two screw holes in the back that do not look to be any VESA standard presumably so you can put a proper kickstand on the monitor but it does not come with one. I am going to 3d print something because this magnetic one is horrible

I've been looking at these portable screens for quite a while as I run a business with multiple locations, and need to have dual screens at my satellite spots. When I ordered this one, I ordered it with five other portable screens with varying price points and resolutions. All monitors worked very well, behaved similarly, and appear to have the same build quality. Some screens had better coloring out of the box, while others needed to be adjusted a little. Overall, I felt the MNN monitors I purchased won over the other brands I purchased due to the perceived better screen quality. It could be just in my head because they were all so close in build, resolution, etc. and I had to choose one, but MNN won the contest for me. At this screen size it really does feel that 4k is a bit of overkill, as the 1080p screen looked nearly just as good as this one. So if you are hesitant in spending $250.00 on this screen, the lower resolution screens will work great as well. I'm glad I made this purchase and wish I had ordered one sooner!
