I ordered the smaller package initially (I think it was 8 oz or something) and the orange slices were absolutely beautiful! It said there were like 80-100 slices, there were only 63, but they were beautiful so I ordered more in the larger 17 ounce package. The first package had a Brilliant orange color, each slice was a nice size, so then I felt it was safe to order the larger size package and these are just horrible! They are barely an inch and a half wide where the first batch were beautiful (I enclosed picture of my mulling spices packaged to show the oranges from the first batch). The second batch are just awful!! They are discolored and many of them are almost blacked or a deeper brown color. The quality is just awful! I can’t even use them in my product! I can’t return them because it’s a food item so I guess the squirrels will be happy campers! I definitely will not be buying from them again! I don’t know how they smell or taste because I don’t even bother opening the package. I would not recommend them as it is hit or miss on whether or not you will get a quality product! Upon looked at them closer, they were all covered in mold too!! I thought at first it was some lime slices mixed in, but no…it is definitely mold! And no refunds! So I am just out the money for these!!

These came all perfectly in tact and neatly stacked. None broken. There are a LOT in the package. I can easily cut them in half with scissors and without cracking or breaking. Beautiful color. Clean. I am very pleased with this purchase. Only minimal gripe is a few are sliced lengthwise instead of crosswise, but all slices are fairly uniform in size and all are center-cut slices.

I have dried my own lemon slices before on the dehydrator and these are something similar to that they still can be used in aromatic pills or a simmering pot or just to make a fall sachet. But I would opt them out for decorative purposes in cooking
