I've been running in Mizuno Wave Rides for 10 years and they are still my favorite shoe. The size, support, and comfort have been consistent through the years. I first chose this model because it was the only one cut low enough that it didn't rub under my ankles. Every couple years I test other running shoes at the store, but I always end up buying another pair of Wave Riders. The shoes have enough flexibility to handle changes in your feet during long runs and they have a decent life span, for me around 350-400 miles, and a while a fter as walking shoes. ... show more

I love the wave rider line and this shoe almost meets my expectations based on past versions. The only complaint is that the right shoe heel seems to not match the right shoe heel in elevation and tends to be mushy. I feel like I need to put in a thin heel riser to equalize the two. That's about it.

For a bigger guy, with short, fat feet...these always hold up well. Purchased them a couple times. When they no longer can be used for walking/running they are converted to lawn shoes and still hold up well. Excellent product.
