This is a well-styled, nice looking suitcase. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how well the wheels turned, the interior pockets and construction, the fixtures, and over all feel when compared to a hard side Samsonite I'm evaluating, too. The Samsonite was $250 with tax. This about $160. I'm returning this one because (Mixi vs. Samsonite): 1) warrantee difference (3 years vs. Limited Lifetime), 2) communicating with manufacturer (can't call vs. can call), 3) my confidence in resolving an issue (lower vs. higher), 4) when I'm traveling I need the greatest confidence possible the luggage isn't going to fail (lesser vs. greater), 5) wheels (not as strong looking vs look higher quality and more durable), and 6) OVER ALL RISK (so much higher vs. so much lower). Over all I feel there's less risk the Samsonite item is going to fail or cause problems for me on my hard-earned vacation. Don't get me wrong, this MIXI case is cute and, for the price, I think a nice piece. I'd just rather pay more for the Samsonite and, based on my feelings about the Samsonite brand (having had good past experiences with it), feel reassured about its expected performance and the expectation for easy problem resolution (should any arise). ... show more

I love this carry on case. It is eye catching and stands out among all the black, grays, and other dark colored carry ons. The amount of room inside is great as well. I was able to pack for a week long trip using just this bag and a small backpack. I did get a few black transfer marks after putting it in the overhead bin, but they were easily removed. Other than a couple of scruff marks on the wheels it didn’t sustain any damage. It feels completely weightless as you move, I did notice if you try to tilt it and pull it behind you the wheels catch more. I just walked beside it and could freely maneuver it with a finger. This handle design is the reason I bought this and it def makes it easier for travel and control. The wheels give it a smooth feel as well. I will be buying the larger matching size as well since the quality and design are impeccable.

    • Excellent for storage and organization, handle weak after one trip

This suitcase is very well thought out. The wide handle made it easy to maneuver and opened up more space inside. I used a simple buckle to attach my backpack to the handle since a trolley strap is not wide enough. The inside of the suitcase is perfect for my needs and is the best i've ever used. Having two zippered compartments really helped me organize my items and keep things neat. I fit enough items in here for a 12 day trip to Denmark, Sweden, and Norway with an average daily temp of 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I put my clothes on one side (in packing cubes) and the zipper helped compress a little more. I then put shoes, outerwear, toiletries, necessities, etc. on the other slimmer side. after both were zipped there was still enough space for me to use the pockets and fill them as well. It all zipped up so perfectly. My only complaint is that the handle on mine started to feel very wobbly after just one trip. I think mine is a defect though as no one has mentioned this in their reviews. I still recommend this suitcase and am getting one for my daughter.
