Very soft and they do block a lot of light. I had some full blackout curtains before but I didn't like the look or feel of them so I got some semi-blackout curtains from walmart that are great but they didn't block as much light as before. Got these for the color and texture and they look great. Plus they do block out pretty much all the light like my previous ones did before. Great if you have to sleep during the day to block out some of the sunlight, or just prefer it to be darker in your room.

I’m very happy with these taupe curtains. The color is exactly what I wanted to create the perfect combination in my living room — they look elegant and blend beautifully with my furniture and walls. The length is just right, and they block out the sunlight very well, which helps keep the room cool and private. I only wish the material was a bit different, as I feel it could be of better quality. Also, because of the way the curtain rod is set up in this rental house, I had to purchase two sets to cover the space with three panels. Overall, I recommend these curtains if you’re looking for a versatile taupe color that adds elegance and matches easily with different living room styles.

These curtains look great in any room. They are good quality, not too light not to heavy. They darken the room, but not "blackout" quality. They look great and don't bunch or wrinkle when shifting open and closed. Overall, a good value for the money.

Nice curtains at a very reasonable price. Color was spot on with the picture. Grommets make for easy opening and closing. Room darkening feature works great. Fabric is nice, but thinner than I expected; and unfortunately not so wrinkle resistant. Of the six sets of curtains I ordered, five of them had been returned previously because they were stuffed into the bag and not neatly folder around a cardboard insert and product label. Luckily, I only had to return one of them due to a damaged grommet and stain. Despite the minor inconvenience, I would still order these same curtains.

Just moved my mom in and re-did a kid’s bedroom for her. These drapes are pretty great. When I first unpackaged them and saw that they weren’t very thick, I doubted their ability to dampen the bright morning sunshine in this easterly exposed room; however, after hanging, I was extremely impressed. You might be able to get an idea of how much difference the drapes make by comparing the light diffusion in the small window with the closed panel to the large window. (There’s off-white sheers behind the drapes). Even with the light color of the material, the room gets substantially darker with the draperies drawn. They’re NOT blackout curtains but they definitely keep the light dim enough for comfortable sleeping. The fabric is soft and, when I did a quick wash before hanging, they came out of the dryer looking great. If there’s a drawback (and it’s not really for me but it could be for others) it’s that these curtains are hung at a pretty standard height and the 84” length is…..close. The hem is short, too, so you can’t take a seam ripper to it to sneak out a little more length. Interior decorators are probably cringing at the wall gap and lack of “gentle drape onto the floor” but it works great for me.
