I am using these with the agptek mist maker, the black one. I assume the negative reviews are people using a different model mister. The fogger snaps right in, there's an indent for the wire to nestle in, it floats the fogger at just the right depth..... It's amazing, exactly what I needed. I am using one of these in an external reservoir for a cloner. I pipe the fog right into the cloner and allow the condensed water to drain back to the reservoir. It works amazingly well. Cannot recommend enough.

Fits the Mist Maker misting unit I bought separately, but the amount of foam in this float holds the Mist Maker too high in the water, so that it struggles to produce mist. I had to open the float up and remove 80% of the foam, and now it floats at the right level but isn't as stable in the water. There is a small plastic loop on the bottom of the float which I assume is for adding a weight, both stabilizing the float and reducing the flotation; unfortunately this wouldn't work for my application and without any directions or included weights I'm unsure of my assumption. All in all, it's a step up from my homemade float, but not the quality of product that I was expecting.

Not sure what some of the complaints were about but this works perfectly and does exactly what it states it will do in the advertisement. Insert the mister fully in the bottom of the cup and sit it in the water. It's not rocket science and it does keep it at the perfect height. I own four of these now and never had a problem even when using different brands of fogger units.

It does a great job of making my mister float, but it floats too high in the water for optimal performance. I got way more fog when I pushed the float / mister lower underwater. There needs to be some way to adjust the amount of buoyancy.

I had a devilish time trying to make my own one of these. Save yourself the trouble and just buy the float. Works fine with the AGPtEK mist makers.

Floats. The mister seems to like it. I had considered making my own but time is money and this is pretty much as good as it could get. Keeps the mister diaphragm at the perfect depth as my water level drops in my water reservoir that feeds my misting system in my terrarium.

This item does not allow my mist maker to sit low enpugh in the water to make mist. It doesn't work. I don't understand how 1 product can have 2 sets of reviews - half of them say they love it and it works great while the other half say it does not work all. I guess I'll try to cut the styrofoam down so it might work, and I'll just make something myself for the other 2 misters I have instead of buying 2 more of these.

I made my own humidifier in a 5 gallon bucket for under $50 and it has lasted and is still working amazingly! I have gone through 6 different brands of humidifiers under $100 and all have failed after a month! I put 2 of these floats with ultrasonic misters in a 5 gallon bucket with an InkBird controller and love it!
