For my SRT guys out there this is for you. I have an 08 Jeep srt8 and I was having a big issue with temperature. I went through 2 autozone theromostats and they were not cutting it. I am in AZ and this heat doesnt forgive. After watching and reading reviews about this guy I took a chance and got it. I have a tune for my fans to go off at 180 and now with this guy it stays at a solid low temp, like 190 or so but way cooler than before. Works great so far in my Hellcat, make sure the tune is adjusted to accommodate a lower coolant temp. Otherwise you will get slow to respond codes as well as wildly fluctuating temps as the fans will not come on at the correct time.

    • Really lowers temperatures at high speeds
Loving this product so far had it for now 2 days and has been keeping my temps down I went about 70-80 miles an hour and the highest it went up was 188 then after it dropped back down to 185-181. Also it’s better to have a tuner too. Highly recommend it I’ll be writing another review later to see how it does. Also test it in boiling water to make sure it opens up before installing. I tested it in boiling water and it opened up about 179 which says 82c. November 12 2024, So far it doing good if you have a tuner tune this to 175 for low and 185 for high. When your going high speeds it will drop and should going above 185 maybe 188 at the most. So far nothing working great. If this fails I plan on going back to 203 thermostat just to be safe. ... show more

Installed this on my 15' DD R/T. Extremely easy to install. Just take off the intake and the 2 thermostat bolts and swap it out. IMPORTANT! Make sure you put the new thermostat in the same way the old one was taken out and make sure the rubber seal is seated firmly around the thermostat. The old 203°F Stat kept temps just under the one half mark. This new 180°F stat kept in dead on the 1/4 mark. I have no tune. The lowest outside temp I have driven it in so far is 72°F. So, in the winter it may throw a code. But no code so far :D EDIT 1/19/24: I have had this on for quite awhile now and still no fan tune. Even at a 13°F cold start I have yet to throw a code. I recommend tuning the fans bc if you are stuck on the highway in 1st or 2nd for at least 10mins the temps do raise and sometimes tries to run hot if above 90°F. Putting the car in park lowers Temps. Also driving it under normal conditions lowers the Temps back to the 1/4 after a few secs. Overall I still recommend. ... show more

    • Disappointed in longevity
Pretty disappointed. Bought in March of 2025. 8000 miles later and 1.5years it has failed. I believe it is sticking and partially open. My temps are rising way too fast. I’m no longer at 185 temps I climb to 195-197 very rapidly. I thought I would get way more use out of it. Wish I could get my money back or a replacement. ... show more

    • Worked great for about 15,000 miles
To get the full benefits of this product you have to adjust the fan temperature to turn on at a lower temperature. But even without that ability you will still see benefits. I installed on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Watching both oil and coolant temps before and after the thermostat showed those temperatures stay within 5 degrees of each other. Before installing 180 degree thermostat temperatures would consistently stay in the 203-213 degree range pretty much all the time. After installing the thermostat both temperatures stay 180-190 degrees while cruising but will rise a little in stop and go traffic but still stay under 200 degrees in most circumstances. My heater still works great, There is no difference in it's function. Vehicle 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 5.7 Hemi, 5W-30 Synthetic oil, 6 Speed trans, stock tires. No mods to engine or drive train other than thermostat. I hope this is helpful to anyone considering this mod. Update: the thermostat failed around 15,000 mile. For comparison my stock thermostat has about 90,000 miles on it and still functions perfectly. There is a lifetime warranty but I'm not sure I would want to put another one in even if it was free and risk blowing my engine. Sucks because it was an awesome mod when it worked. ... show more
