This is my go-to UV resin now. I also use 2-part resin for other uses, usually either Art Resin or Little Windows, depending on what I need it for. There is a smell with this, which there will always be, but it is not as strong or as foul as many others. Open a window and use a fan, and you probably won't notice it. It definitely doesn't seem to linger. I use this resin for: glazing 2-part resin casts that I've already sanded or that are just a bit wonky and need nothing more than a glaze or a shallow evening-out (i.e., the pieces are not fully plane/level, not that they are looking for cheap dinner and a bad movie); doming over paper or fabric, either as a base for a thicker piece or as a thin piece by itself (super quick! why wait a day?!) adhering multiple "nature inclusions" to each other in steps, to build stability and check/alter the progress of the piece incrementally but over a short time, which can't be done in minutes, but rather days, with 2-part (example would be adding flowers, leaves, etc., to a twig or larger leaf); crappy homemade molds I made, where I pushed one side of the object down too far when making it and found after waiting 24 hours with 2-part resin to see that I had cast a completely useless object. If you think the mold is maybe salvageable, with UV resin you can guide it into only the parts and depth you want, cure that part, and keep doing it that way without overfilling, for example, the head you pushed way further down than the tail. You can keep approximately the same height throughout, which would be impossible without that incremental curing. tiny casts to use as inclusions in larger casts, like tiny cat heads or stars, etc.; a base level that I can quick-cure to see how it looks with the pigments/inclusions/whatever I put in it, and easily adjust accordingly, to which I can add 2-part over, and whatever additional inclusions into that; similarly, a top level over cured 2-part that I might want to add more things into to finish it; use like Art Resin to seal art over a flat surface, just for *very small* surfaces when you don't want to mix/waste too much; &ETC.: there are lots of uses! Caveats and Tips from Experience: Don't get the weakest UV lamp; for less than $20 you can get this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H95YWXC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Some pieces will cure in 60s; others will take multiple rounds under the light. Still others, particularly with lots of inclusions or backing that prevent UV light from penetrating all the way through all the way round, may take a day to fully get over tackiness or bendiness. Like epoxy resin, it doesn't have to be fully cured to add another layer; tacky is fine. Opaque molds: these can get HOT and even steam/smoke (it appears more like steam to me, but what do I know??); the larger the size, and the more pigment and inclusions you have, the hotter it will be. And even with the reflective bottom of your nail lamp, contents of the bottom of the mold may not be getting full UV rays on it due to the opacity, so once it's cured enough, you may have to take your piece out of the mold, turn it upside down, and cure it from the bottom. What this means is that the bottom will probably have swirly marks from not being cured while in the mold, so you'll want to reglaze the bottom and possibly sides with either more resin, or a glaze, or, heck, nail polish. But remember that you will now have swirly uncured resin at the bottom of your mold, so you'll want to either clean it or cure it to use it again. Tons of pigment/mica/inclusions: Same caveat as the above; if light's not hitting the bottom, the bottom still needs to be cured. Alcohol inks: Not for UV resin. You can look online for other colorants that might provide similar effects with the UV resin. Botanicals: Seal them, as with other resins. You might not see the problems right away due to the fast cure, but your flower can rot inside the resin over time, just as with other types. Layers: IF you are going to cast with this, you absolutely must do it in layers. I have no statistics, but I don't want to imagine the exothermic effect if you tried to cure a whole, let's say 6cm sphere in one go. The nice thing with UV resin, though, is a/ those layers are going to cure quickly and b/ if you've put pigment in, that second, third, fourth, round of pigmented resin is not simultaneously curing along with the first round you've got under the light, so it will all match! Tools: You don't have to wait 24 hours to reuse that stir-stick. Just stick it under the lamp for a few seconds and you can touch it to cured resin with no marks. Same with gloves: if you're working on a few pieces for a while and you have been using one glove to touch and move uncured pieces, you can put those gloved fingers under the lamp and keep using that glove. Be aware that depending on the amount of resin this, too, can get hot, so getting off some of that resin first might be prudent. Working upside-up: I find that with molds (flat-bottomed ones, at least) and UV resin, maybe because I'm working in layers, that it's easy to work upside-up and have the top I'm looking at be the top of the finished product. Cognitively, that was a weird learning curve for me when I started out with 2-part, and I would often have part of the mold tray "facing down" and the others "facing up," which was not so great. I love this resin and find it really flexible. I just wish it were sold in, say 500 or 1000g sizes. Also, it seems expensive, but it's not really used for large things, so on its scale/for the amount of (small) items you can make, and (larger) items you can finish with it, it ends up being a satisfying amount. I started with 2-part, and I love it. For my uses, I love the flexibility of using either type exclusively if that's what the piece calls for, and also being able to mix and match when that's the better or more efficient option.

For the most part this stuff works pretty darn good, it's easy to use as far as the application , the nozzle is a great feature although it would be nice if the hole was a tad bit smaller, it does have a mild odor but not nearly as bad as others I have from other companies, this one I can sit using without feeling like I need to run for the hills, It cures pretty good, I have had some issue with a random bubble that comes up just as it cures, leaving a random bump in my work, which is not a horrible fix, just annoying when you are trying to get things done, It is not a fan of color, You CAN use ink and make very small amounts and do in layers, The one in the photo was a pain, the black did not want to cure, it would just jell up, but after playing around I did manage to get it to finally cure, While curing in the first few moments it lets of a small amount of smoke vapor, I don't suggest inhaling, depending on how sensitive you are to smell it may be strong to you, I myself don't find it bad, and it's only for a few seconds, Cures fast on some projects not so much on others, you may have to place it under uv for longer and more often, You just have to play around with it to figure it out, I wish it came in larger quantities, I have already placed another order which should arrive today,

I ran a basic google search for best uv resin and miraclekoo came in 2nd, which is the only reason why i purchased it. It arrived today (2days total) and of course i was eager to see if it solved the irritating problems of the resin i bought in a kit in December. The miraclekoo had a great tagline: non yellowing, crystal clearโฆ well i cured some pieces side by side and im really disappointed in the outcome. The miraclekoo IS very yellow as you can see. I tried two different molds just in case. Other things i am disappointed with is the resin shrunk during curing, just a tiny bit but enough to pull away from the mold and leave a texture. None of the sample pieces i tried had a glossy finish and it did not solve the problem of leaving a residue i have with the original.

This works really well and cures fast, but over time gets finicky (pulls from edges, doesn't completely flatten. I don't have much issue with bubbles no matter how old it is. When I got out of clay for several months due to having no time, then pulled out some of my pieces, I was disappointed to see the finish had some pits, fingerprints, and scuffs that were all super noticeable. I can only assume that it wasn't fully cured or was and doesn't have a truly protective resin-quality finish. Considering I cured most of them for at least 15-20 minutes instead of the specified 2-6 minutes, I don't think I under-cured them. I am trying out EZ Dome YV Resin from FTH Supplies and Deep Shine UV Finish from Tiny Pandora and will update the review with how they compare soon.

i liked that when using the Miraclekoo Crystal UV Resin Hard UV Curing Epoxy that it hardens quickly and clearly as it's description states. You will need to be careful when using epoxy resin DYES in this resin as they sometimes require much longer curing times under the UV lamp. Some dyes take much much longer times to cure, and it's just a matter of trial and error to know how long to leave your molds under the UV lamp. I've have found that the more color dye added the less you will like the outcome of your pieces. When in doubt err on the lighter side of use of color dyes in this product even if they state that they are for this type of epoxy resin color dyes. But I just love the large sizes of the Miraclekoo Crystal UV Resin Clear Hard UV Curing Epoxy Resin. I have purchased this item twice now, that's how much I like it and I know you will too.
