We got this projector to use in our bedroom instead of a TV to minimize the use of watching something but still have the option to. I also enjoy that I can take it about anywhere. Reasons for not giving it a full 5 stars is that it does that you have to allow it to warm up for the image to not be blurry. Also it's not compatible with Netflix due to a Netflix limitation for projection. We used a firestick to fix that issue. ... show more

My main reason for purchasing a mini projector was to transfer drawings, photos, etc. to various art surfaces for painting. I tried and returned several devices which simply didn't do what I needed. Then one day while searching on Amazon I discovered the Fatork mini projector which seemed like it would be perfect for my purposes. When purchased on Amazon the price was $259.99. Fatork proved to be exactly what I required. Setup was simple following the included Quick Start Guide. I also purchased a Photo Copy Pico stand to allow the projector to project downward. This device worked okay but needed to be elevated to secure the image size desired (see photo). My first trial was to trace a bird and portrait of which I wished to create watercolor paintings. The image was moved from the computer via USB stick in jpeg format to the projector. I did not have to make the room dark to accomplish the tracing. In fact I left the light on (see photo). Since I wasn't completely happy with the Pico stand having to be elevated to achieve the desired picture size I have designed a prototype stand which works much better. A movable shelf with a cutout slot for the projector allows for elevation simply by moving the shelf up to the next retainer and refocusing the projector (see photo). Now for a few things that make the Fatork projector a very valuable device for anyone desiring large screen video projection. The Fatork connects to almost any video divice by HDMI, USB, 5g Wi-Fi, using Apple and Android players, TV Boxes, TV, Audio devices, DVD players. Great news is it compatible with every popular audio and video format I tried. For movies a dimly lit room is prefered by most. For art tracing it was not necessary to dim the lights. Also a bluetooth audio amplifier or speaker gives the projector a more dynamic sound for movie viewing. The projector has a battery included which allows for portable viewing. There is sufficient power to view a complete movie on a charge. It also has 1 gb of internal memory. This is a DLP short throw projector which essentially means you can be fairly close to your screen and have it in focus. Also the projector can adjust keystone automatically or manually. This simply means your video is adjusted to have square corners with the top no wider than the bottom. That's my simple description of a fairly complex tech process. I set up a large portable screen played some video in a well lit room and a dimly lit room. The video was okay in the lit room but great in the dimly lit room. As previously stated a blue tooth speaker is desirable if you like booming movie sound like I prefer. I also tried playing a DVD video with a player attached by HDMI. The picture quality and sound were excellent. I also attached a TV Box which worked well. I highly recommend this device.     • Great but speakers are just ok
My tv died and I wanted something affordable and mobile instead of a giant screen, so I gave this a whirl. Pretty good, better than I thought. Auto keystone is a good feature and works well. It is virtical only keystone, side to side is typical projector placement. I ended up getting a $30 portable speaker to connect it via headphone jack as the speaker. The integrated speakers peak pretty easily, so this was a great upgrade. Headphones would be good too. I connected an Apple TV up to it, and the resolution is solid for it. Sometimes it goes out of focus, probably me accidentally bumping it with out realizing. Easy to fix, there is a dial to control focus on it. ... show more

    • Has its uses
Bought this projector to put in my toddlers room. It’s wireless and can connect to a camera mount which is convenient. It does struggle in a lit room so you’re going to want to use this in a dark space. All-in-all, it is nice to have an easy to pop up projector to calm down my son.

I am a Presenter for a health insurance company and I love this Projector. It made presentations a breeze at my seminars. Everything I need is contained in the box, The projection, sound and video presentation via a usb jump drive. You can also stream it via wifi or connect an iphone or ipad directy to into the projector via hdmi using the appropriate adapter. The image is excellent and the sound volume is enough for most small to medium venues. If you are using in a large venue, you can connect external speakers. Charge it 1/2 to 1 hour before using it and you are good to go. You won't have to deal with anyone tripping over wires or anything at your presentations. I recommended this projector to my colleagues and 7 of them bought it as well after i demonstrated it to them. It is a fantastic, practical tool for anyone who presents. Also for those who what a movie while camping and don't want to lug a bunch of stuff! Love this product! ... show more

Projector was making a loud buzzing noise with Roku and Amazon Stick. After reading my original review, the seller reached out to me. On Roku and Fire Stick, change your sound settings!!! Roku, change to stereo then select Auto and On Fire Stick, choose RMK or something like that. The sound will go through nicely!!! Thanks to the seller for saving me time and money. Now we are back to having movie night at home and when we travel. The colors are vibrant!!! It's manual focus but that's not a big deal. I was going to order another Projector thinking I had a bad unit. Thanks again to the seller for letting me know how to fix the sound. ... show more

    • This one is hard to rate so low but it is the honest truth...
I bought this some time ago. Wanted to be able to watch movies up on the main family room on the wall with the family. The portability given my setup was the key. I knew it was a little dimmer from the reviews but thought it would work. It had nice features and thought they would work out OK.?? So the reality: In use though it is so dim that it had to be pitch black outside and in for it to work. It is so quite that I had to get a bit set of computer speakers with direct power for us to be able to hear it. There goes the portability... It has no leveling leg(s) or mechanism of any kind. So to use it at the right height on the wall it has to be propped up on a rolled up paper towel. Once all of this is done it is easily keystoned for a nice squared viewing experience. The remote is a tall candy bar style and works quite well. But I replaced that with a learning remote from here on Amazon. I did this since we always pair it with a Roku for playback. And I didn't want 2 remote controls when using this. ... show more
