My daughter picked these out because she loves those claw machines that you see in stores. I never let her play those because they are a waste of money. This item almost perfectly mimics the way those machines work - right down to the claw not grabbing things. She managed to finagle it to get all the pieces out, but it took her a while and she enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like personally is that the pieces are so tiny and when she drops them I step on them and it hurts, but she's happy with it. I will say definitely do NOT get anything like this for a younger child who might put things in their mouth because it would be incredibly easy for them to swallow the pieces. My daughter begged for this because she is obsessed with claw machines. Yes, it’s worth it. It’s cute, it works, she was happy. Can’t say that it’s that entertaining and I’m sure it is somewhere collecting dust in her room now…but she bought with her allowance and she did love it.
