Description

Special Spring Clamps for Model Builders Work when Others Won't. When you're working in miniature, you need clamps that have just the right amount of spring tension. Too much tension and they will distort small items...too little and they won't hold a glue joint closed. And if you've ever struggled with standard size clamps on a model project, you know your clamps must also be small and lightweight. These model builder's clamps fit the bill perfectly. Nickel plated steel clamps have vinyl coated cushion grips. 1-3/8 inch long with 3/16 inch capacity. Ideal for holding small, flat objects and for keeping ship model rigging lines taut during assembly. Set of 5.

  • Love these!!
I bought these clips to hold the beads onto my string so they don't fall off and they work perfectly!!! Great size! Very happy with them. Maybe a little expensive, but, I'm still glad I bought them. Many reviews indicated the clips are very difficult to squeeze open. You need to squeeze quite close to the clamps and they open pretty easily. The farther away from the clamp end you squeeze, the harder it is to open. ... show more

  • Weak
No grips on clamps, worthless.

  • So Hard To Use
These expensive little clamps are so hard to use! I am 60 years old, but not weak. With one hand, I cannot open the clamp. With two hands, extreme effort, and a little pain, I can open the clamp enough to slip in a couple sheets of paper (not my purpose - just an idea of how far the clamp opens). But then I wouldn't have a free hand to slip in anything. The tiny size adds to the challenge. The total force required to open the clamp divided by the surface area available to apply that force calculates to extreme pressure on the fingertips. I expected more resistance than, say, piano keys. I hoped for the resistance of tweezers - something I would use frequently as a gripping tool for small objects, but with a stay-in-place clamping action that tweezers lack. These clamps are not such a tool. They are better suited for some form of building tiny things. On the plus side, these clamps will stay locked onto things without coming off easily. That's really the right purpose. For every-day gripping and handling, they are too difficult to use. I hope I can return them. ... show more

  • Too strong
Shipped fast and great value however these clamps were too strong for me to use on my miniature projects. I had to use a pair of pliers to pinch them open. They’d be great for tying flies or something else but not for miniatures.

  • I need to know the product better
The picture on the computer was by far inaccurate. It whowed larger than life parts, but when received by ne I got 5 or 6 little items.

  • Tiny grippers
I bought these to hold pieces together while using industrial glue. They are tiny! Check the size before you purchase. They are going to work for particular application but smaller than I realized. They are strong and should hold well.

  • They hold tight
These didn’t work for what I bought them for (not their fault) and were smaller than I realized. They took a lot of hand strength to open but boy do they hold tight.

  • Strong!
We use these for clamping pipe cleaners while we glue them with hot glue, they’re a bit strong for the kids but they might loosen up a little. They’re very small, about .5” long, maybe .25” clamping area
