Since it is a Thanksgiving present in time for the holiday countdown, it hasn’t been opened. However, my great grandson is such a fan I know he will love it. It arrived earlier than expected and in great shape. I also like the idea of little toys than more chocolate.

    • Very disappointing, Extremely Overpriced
I blame myself for not reading the reviews before ordering but at day 3, I'm disappointed. Day one and two: Steve and a hat for him, "cool"... day 3 a cardboard block that is impossible for a child to assemble and full of frustration for an adult. Checked the box and realize it is going to be mostly thin cardboard that I don't see making it more than 5 days if your child actually tries to play with it... you can make a cute scene over the month if you just put it up and don't touch it. Certainly not something that I see bringing us joy as we count down to Christmas. Gave it two stars on giftable because it is exciting for a minecraft lover to receive it but expect a let down! As I'm writing this review my son (9 years old) is trying to pop out the back decorations to make the scene. He popped out one of the cardboard shapes and it felt down where he can't get to it without ruining the surprise on the other days, starts to try the fence and says, "oh it ripped"... a few seconds later "I've got to be more careful" a few seconds later... "mom this is garbage". I think that about says it all. ... show more

First, my 5-year-old loved it. He is obsessed with Minecraft and loved waking up each day to open one. That said, he didn't pay for it. This set includes a handful of small, cheap plastic characters and a bunch of cardboard cut outs. The cardboard blocks were too hard for him to build himself, and nobody touched them once they were built. I appreciate the marketing and realize I'm paying for the branding, but this set has nothing on the Lego and Pokémon advent calendars my other kids did this year. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My sons loves to play Minecraft and watch others play Minecraft on Youtube. We knew this was the advent calender for him. Opening one window a day helps him remain patient for Christamas and he loves that special time each day. We have a cup for the peices to stay in until the very end. Be advised that all the peaces are pictured on the back so if you do not want them tonsee that keep the back covered. ... show more

Kids love Minecraft and this hasn't disappointed yet. There's the mini figures and accessories inside, plus the box itself has pop out scenery to use with them. Good choice for an advent calendar.

My 6 year old was super excited for this advent calendar, but a couple of days in we realized the tray was backward in the box. None of the doors aligned with the articles.
