I've had this desk for a few months, and it's held up really well. The wood is sanded so it's nice and smooth, the little drawer is nice (esp to put papers in that u forget are in there after a few months lol), it's just a good desk, I'm planning to keep it for years to come.

I was able work while sitting on the couch and it was tall enough that I could put it on the dinner table and work while standing. I gave it 4 stars because the drawer is very flimsy. I'm not sure if it was damaged in shipping or in production, but my tray arrived with a corner so badly splintered that it stuck my thumb and drew blood as I was removing it from the box. The box didn't have any additional padding inside to protect it during shipping, so either way seems plausible. I've sanded down the splintered parts and it should work the way I need it too now, but I was a little disappointed to receive it already damaged. The damage aside, it's sadly not the sturdiest table to begin with. The legs don't like to stay where I put them and are a bit fiddly. The drawer is not as useful as it looks in the photo since it's very small and tends to stick. It should work for what I bought it for (being able to continue working during my high-pain days when I have to stay in bed), but I will probably try a different brand sometime in the near future. ... show more

Well,.....I really wanted to like this! I saw a few reviews on them and decided to take a chance on it because it was a good deal and looked pretty good. I was going to use it for my MacBook Pro and for reading textbooks on while on the couch and for the occasional meal. First one arrives, and the little bumper to keep your laptop/book/etc from sliding into your lap was really wobbly. Didn't seem super sturdy but my needs were not for super sturdy. I got the tray up and it was okay, but the edges were a little splintery and the drawer so small it cannot fit two flat highlighters (you know the Sharpie Clear View ones? So flat!) So I ordered another one that was delivered the next day. Same thing with the bumper thing, but the fit was more snug. I decided to give it a try with reading on the couch with a soft cover textbook that weighs about 5 lbs max. I read for about 25 mins. then when I went to put the tilt thing down, I noticed it wouldn't go quite flat. Then I saw the HUGE crack on the part of the table that remains flat. Then I discovered that that part of the table started to wobble, and the table would not have all four legs on the floor at the same time. Less than an hour and the thing is broken irretrievably and it's not like I did wild stuff on it or had a kid or dog using it. So, two different ones and both were just bad. Yes it's a good price, but not a good product. I just purchased this one, and it's easily 200% better and you can actually fit stuff in the drawer!!
