    • Borderline for 145 repair station
Saw this and decided to give it a try. Work at a 145 repair station and at times it would be nice to eliminate the air hose for my pneumatic cherry max gun. Received it 02/17/2023 and here is what I noticed. 1. It will pull CR3213/3212-4-xx rivets. I have have not tried CR3523/3522-4-xx rivets yet or larger diameters 5/6's. 2. It does not pull them with a single trigger squeeze. It usually takes 2, sometimes 3 pulls for it to pop. 3. It is heavier than expected but feels really well built. A little spoiled by my cherry max gun 704b. I'm hoping it'll be useful for smaller jobs/tight spaces and maybe decrease use of hand pullers at times. I gave it 4 stars just because it takes 2-3 pulls for each rivet. I'll update as I use it. 03/29/2023 Have used it several times now. I love not dragging an air hose to paint shop for a small repair. I did upgrade from 4 to 5 stars as I have used it for several small jobs, 10 rivets or less so far, and gotten more used to it. I am really starting to like it. But like I mentioned above I wouldn't grab it first for big installs or repairs. The only thing I really would change is if it could accept the CherryMax/Gagebuilt offset or 90 degree heads. I pop rivet almost every day at my job. Not an enormous amount (maybe 100-200/week), but almost every day. Hand riveters are so inexpensive and fairly easy to use, but I have struggled with them not breaking off the mandrel at the head and also just simply breaking the rivet tool over time. I go through 2-3 hand rivets/year, but I could not justify the price of these cordless rivet tools. Finally, after breaking yet another hand rivet I decided to give in and purchase this tool. IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!!! This tool is amazing! So simple and quick to operate, performs perfectly every time, fits where a hand rivet fits, effortless 1 hand operation, saves time, and seems to be built to last. I wish I would have bought it sooner and saved myself the aggravation of those cheap hand rivets. I have been using it for about 6 weeks and I HIGHLY recommend this tool! Do not be turned off by the price like I was. BUY IT! I'd give it 6 stars if I could. ... show more

Being a retired sheet metal tech this is one of the best cordless tools for shooting rivets. Easy to use, all interchangeable heads stowed onboard for easy access, compact head for limited space. Man....I love this tool. I bought this because I have developed arthritis in my hands. It got to where I couldn't compress a manual rivet gun any more. I repair RVs for a living and use rivets quite often and thought I wouldn't be able to do those kind of repairs again. But this tool has changed everything for me. With a manual rivet gun you install the rivet, insert, squeeze two or three times, reset the gun on the rivet, squeeze two or three more times, maybe reset again, squeeze some more, then the rivet sets. And if the rivets are stainless or just steel.... that's a lot of work. And after 20 or 30 rivets your hands are done for, and if you throw in arthritis (just for fun), then the job is impossible. ONE SECOND..... ONE SECOND.... That's all it takes to install rivets with this thing. My 6 year old great-grandson can install rivets all day long with this tool. Recommend, recommend, recommend. Even if you don't have arthritis...BUY THIS TOOL if you use pop rivets. Why struggle if you don't have to. ... show more

    • Works Great and easy to use
Great for portability and unlike a pneumatic, you can pull in stages to get the parts aligned properly and at correct angles. The stems don't easily go through the body, they just stick in the tip and have to be pulled out the front rather than dropping through into the back container that it comes with. Rather annoying. Same rivets as used on the pneumatics which works as intended. Another related issue is that because there isn't any air pressure to pull the rivets in and "hold" them there I found it easier to put the rivet into the part and then push the tool over the stems rather than loading the stems into the tool and then into the part. It just seemed a little backward and requires a different setup for top-down work. ... show more
