  • Jammed
I bought this a few months back this thing gets jammed up all the time. It’s been very frustrating considering the price point. It is not cheap! This is not worth the price in my honest opinion. I’m very disappointed as I need this for an Airstream project. I can’t use it anymore because of this problem. Im going to try to take it apart to un jammed this thing. DONT RECOMMEND! ... show more

  • Broke 3 days after the return date
The rivet gun breaks 3 days after the return date. Now I'm stuck with a expensive paper weight. Milwaukee tools are usually pretty good but not this one. I've learned that if I had to fix it. It would cost me as much as a new one. Very disappointed

  • Right tool for that mid-range work between home fixer upper and pro.
Works very well. You can get a lot of work done in a short time with this. Makes easy work of those larger rivets that would really test your hand strength. I own a lot of Milwaukee tools because of the thoughtful engineering and quality. Just wish someone other than a China company owned them if that matters to you. ... show more

  • Not meant for big jobs
I'm working on building an airplane using pulled rivets, so I have a LOT of rivets to pull. This rivet gun came recommended from a number of builders groups over the pneumatic guns that are out there. Some of the pneumatic ones can get into about 5x the cost of this tool. My chief complaint is that the rivets flow to the receiving capsule in the back in one out of about every 10 times. The bigger rivets go through pretty good, the smaller ones don't at all. I wind up just pulling the mandrels out of the front because they won't ever go through. Why is this a problem? Well, when the mandrels don't go through and you pull the next rivet there is a very strong chance the new mandrel will jam up in the shaft between the front and the receiving bin in the back. And let me tell you - when it jams, it jams REALLY well. One evening while I was troubleshooting this problem with the gun I spent a good couple of hours taking apart and putting back together the gun to remove the mandrels jammed in the shaft. It took a lot of patience, a few hammers and even a drill to get the entirety of the shaft cleared. Once it was cleared - we were back in business. Time spent on this process was a couple of hours - easily. Going forward the rule of using the tool is when you pull a rivet, the next rivet is not pulled until you have cleared the previous mandrel from the shaft - either by pulling it out the front (smaller ones) or making sure the medium to large ones have cleared out the back. Sometimes you have to cycle the gun two or three times for the mandrel to fall through. The thing is - if you leave the receiving unit on the back you won't know if the mandrel that just fell through was the one you needed cleared. So it's best to leave the receiving unit off the back and visually observe the mandrel clearing out the back. The medium to larger mandrels won't come out the front - they have to leave through the back. Beyond that major failing I like the gun. I'll get through this project with it as I am not pulling rivets so fast that I can't pause for a moment to make sure I've cleared the previous mandrel - with practice you can do it quickly. Also - the support for this product appears to pretty fall into "bring it in". So if you're in a situation where it's an evening or a weekend and you're trying to be productive... good luck. You're on your own. ... show more

  • Works Great and easy to use
Great for portability and unlike a pneumatic, you can pull in stages to get the parts aligned properly and at correct angles. The stems don't easily go through the body, they just stick in the tip and have to be pulled out the front rather than dropping through into the back container that it comes with. Rather annoying. Same rivets as used on the pneumatics which works as intended. Another related issue is that because there isn't any air pressure to pull the rivets in and "hold" them there I found it easier to put the rivet into the part and then push the tool over the stems rather than loading the stems into the tool and then into the part. It just seemed a little backward and requires a different setup for top-down work. ... show more

  • Milwaukee Riviter
Being a retired sheet metal tech this is one of the best cordless tools for shooting rivets. Easy to use, all interchangeable heads stowed onboard for easy access, compact head for limited space. Very easy to use and lightweight with a powerful system. Im shooting rivets in rocker panels on a truck rather then weld them. ... show more

  • Good for a little while
This tool was great for me during the first year, but it started to jam, and now it's getting worse and it's breaking rivets off partway and not performing well at all. I've reached out to the company about it but haven't heard any response. I can hardly justify buying a new one, but I use this tool daily and I need a reliable riveter. If anyone has any advice. (No, it's not a bad batch of rivets...) it's much appreciated! ... show more
