    • Fantastic Impact Driver
First off, I paid full price for this kit and was not paid for this review. The 1/4 Hex Impact Driver is incredible. I've never owned an impact that is so small and light. It truly is a thing of beauty. With a 6 inch Phillips head hex bit, its like using a surgical needle in many of the applications that are tight and have no extra room to spare. The weight of the drill sits directly on the crest between your index finder and thumb, which give you a very good sense of balance, as if your impact driver is moving directly with your hand. Less overall fatigue when using it. This thing also carries a lot of power. Don't let the size fool you. This thing packs a punch and is the hardest hitting M12 Impact Driver to date. The way it was built almost makes you not have a real need for the included 1/2 inch Drill, although I think the drill is a necessity for people with regular drill bits that do not use a Hex Fitting. It comes with 4 different modes that are changed with a single button on the top of the Impact Driver (near the back end). 1. Low Speed, 2. Medium Speed, 3.High Speed and Self Tapping Mode. They really do come in handy and you can really fine tune the speed that you need for the job. Using the self tapping mode, I have not stripped a single screw, even in older units that have had their panels taken off frequently enough to cause loose fitting screws. This is an excellent feature. It starts off slow to start the screw, then impacts it hard, and then clutches heavily to prevent stripping. I've gone through about 5 charge cycles in the week that I've owned it with heavy usage throughout. I use it as my primary tool now. I will buy more very soon to start replacing some of the oldest impact drivers that I have on my tool deck. Bottom line for the 1/4 Impact Driver: Fantastic tool. Extremely strong. Excellent Self Tapping mode. COMPACT. LIGHT. The 1/2 Drill Driver is also a great tool, but I must admit, is not why I purchased this package as I have more drills than I'll ever need. Don't let that disparage you from buying it though as it is noticeably lighter and stronger than my other M12 drills. It has a different feel to it. One interesting thing about it is that it spools up in speed with a lower clutch setting. Between setting 1 and maybe 10? It will spool up rather slowly without much load. It may seem strange at first, however, it is a really great feature as it prevents most bits from walking on the surface when you start making a hole. I've drilled and tapped thousands of holes and I don't need this feature, but from the standpoint of say "a less experienced worker" this is very nice. I can drill holes with ease using this drill. Bottom line for 1/2 Drill Driver: 1/2 inch, 12v, LIGHT, visibly smaller and well built. Does the job every time. This kit comes with two batteries. The 2.0 Red Lithium M12 and the 4.0XC Red Lithium which doubles the time of use and also works as a stand for your drill or impact. A tip for newcomers in the power tool world: This is still a 12 volt system and will never replace the need for 18v+ tools that would be used for installing drywall and 2x4's all day. All drills have cycle duty limits. A 12v system doing the job of an 18V+ system will cause you grief in the long run because the product will degrade in output and functionality as it was not designed to be used as such. ( i.e. drilling 1/2 holes or setting 3 inch screws ALL day long. I will say that this is not really a prime set for heavy construction workers. It's perfect for having around in the home as your go to set. This is a good set for electricians and the like with a need for a tool that can go into tight areas; installing straps, outlets, breaker panels, removing panels, installing electronic boards etc. This is a wonderful set and if you take care of the the tools, they really could last you 15+ years. Context: I've been using Milwaukee M12 tools for about 5 years. In my shop, we work on medical equipment and most of the time, we don't have a need for an 18v+ drill due to size and weight requirements. The M12 system has plenty of power and since Milwaukee likes to give you two batteries on average per set you buy with an included charger, I've never had to buy a separate battery in my time of owning Milwaukee products. Between myself and my employees we easily have over 20 Milwaukee tools placed in different areas of the shop to maximize tool presence. They have not had any issues to date, except for one drill that got overheated because the employee accidentally had the vents covers with his work shirt. I can vouch for the quality of Milwaukee products in the M12 market. Everything works very well and lasts a really long time. Long review, but worth it. Lots of power in a compact package. Well built and working well after being used almost every day. Would recommend to any one looking for a compact drill/driver. Fits into places larger tools do not and still has plenty of power to get the job done.

El drill de impacto tiene una una falla muy grande al corto tiempo de uso el funcionamiento falla al momento de atornillar se bloquea y parpadeos la luz de la batería pero no porque esté descansanda la batería es el drill el del problema al cambiar la batería por otra cargada el problema persiste pensé que ese me avía salido defectuoso así que compré otro y el problema sigue siendo el mis en el equipo nuevo. ... show more
