🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Milwaukee bit set showcases a blend of usability, versatility, and convenience. Users highly appreciate the compact size, embedded magnet for easy accessibility and the ability to perfectly fit in tool cases. The bits are hailed as tough and efficient, proving strong even under consistent use. However, while the bit holder has mixed reviews, the convenience and practicality of the entire set appears to be universally appreciated.

Pros

  • 🔨 Compact and convenient size
  • 🔧 Includes a variety of bit types
  • 😊 Magnetic feature is handy for accessibility
  • 💪 High durability mentioned for the bits
  • 👍 Generally perceived as good value for the cost

Cons

  • 😰 Bit holder considered not as sturdy
  • 😞 Mediocre quality of the sticker and logo
  • 🔍 Some reservations about the strength of the magnet

Should I Buy It?

Given that the feedback on the bits is mostly positive, this product could be a good investment if you need a compact and convenient bit set. However, if the durability of the bit holder is a primary concern, you might want to explore other options.

  • Great Kit!
I have something similar in the kitchen that was wearing down and not of the same quality. You can really tell the difference. I carry this in my to-go bag for around the house projects and it has really come in handy. Very easy to use and great gift idea.

  • Versatile set for my installation tool
Handy set that I got to stay in the case with my Milwaukee installation Tool sey, all the bits I need for most any installation job, and a bit wears out, it easy to replace the worn bits and no matter brand of bit you buy, they all wear out at some time. These Milwaukees are tough, compact and they do the job, the magnet holder is handy addition as well for magnetic screws. Small, light weight and it fits perfectly in case with extra batteries and all the accessory heads of the installation tool, so cabinets or whatever go up with one small case and not fifty trips back to the truck. ... show more

  • I bought it at 3 bucks so it's hard to complain but I will anyway.
It's cheaply made. That's a sticker on the top of it, not the logo stamped on plastic and the color of my sticker doesn't match the case. The driver guide isn't the one pictured and I didn't really like the action on mine (something scratches the inner cylinder as it moves back and forth. I have an identical Chinese-made DeWalt driver-guide I got from a hex bit kit with slightly smoother action. I criticized another reviewer for complaining about 7 identical bits, not realizing that the bit types and sizes are actually stamped in the plastic which bugs me more for some reason, as labeling it wrong makes it seem like a dumber thing to do. It's also taller than I imagined. The bits are sitting at an angle and there is some additional clearance on the bottom beyond that so it's just a touch big for putting in your jeans pocket. I'd guess it's ~1.5 inches high. The magnet is just not-quite powerful enough for my taste. It sticks to the side of a metal toolbox just fine but not with enough strength to avoid sliding down. Just a scotch more and it would be good. That should be easily upgraded though. That said, I still like the design. It's a practical and reasonably compact way to carry bits around and fits fine in a coat pocket. The way it dispenses bits makes it easier to remember to put stuff back before reaching for another one and is faster and less messy than fishing around in a box. I'm unwilling to test it but the plastic seems to be of reasonable enough quality that you could drop it from 10' and not be surprised if nothing shattered. I'd give it 2-3 star rating for mediocrity but hey, 3 bucks. Even at 10-12 bucks you're getting a fair number of hex bits that aren't redundant and a decent dohickey for selecting and storing them. It's just disappointing because it doesn't have that same Milwaukee feel that you get when you first see one of their metal drill bit cases. I'm guessing it's cheap because it's discontinued or is just not selling and I can see why. People buy Milwaukee because they like quality. This is practical and cheap but definitely not high quality. ... show more

  • The best driving set I ever owned
I purchased this as a functional companion to my Milwaukee 2691-22 18-Volt Compact Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit . It's far better than most driving sets, not only for the number of bits -- 20, but how the system works. Simply turn the dial to the bit you want, tip it forward, and the bit slides out. When you're done, replace the bit, and turn the dial again to the empty slot marked X. I do find it difficult to remove the drive guide from it's holder but I just insert a bit upside-down and pull on the drive guide to release it. Honestly, I'd rather perform this step than worry about losing my drive guide from a holder that's too flimsy. The magnet for the holder is also a brilliant idea. You can stick this set almost anywhere while working. For the first time I've never lost my bits. I also recommend it because it's well worth the price. ... show more
