Impressive power in a 12 volt platform. I keep this in my car for emergency use on the road. Handy around the house as well. Strong enough to remove most lug nuts and even some harder bolts, with a fresh battery of course. I can't imagine my tool bag without it.

I was very happy to add this to my collection. Works great if you have a 3 amp hour or higher battery. It was able to take the lug nuts off my truck with ease. Definitely recommend I love how compact and light it is I climb a lot of ladders so it's easy to take up with me I don't get weighed down with all my tools. Overtime I prefer the 12 volt Milwaukee over DeWalt 12 volt. If you don't need something with all day power you have access to charging 12 volt is the way to go. He's 12 volt batteries last just as long as the 20 volts ... show more

i absolutely love this thing. i am usually a Bosch guy but recently started to get some M12 tools and figured to try this one. very glad i did, i use it religiously when working on cars. its strong enough to remove lug-nuts from a car and has a cool light fastening feature where it will only tighten it to like 30ftlbs and no more. works great for bolts you want to torque by hand to a specific torque. so far the only gripe i have with this tool so far is the shape of the top back of the handle. it rests on the back top part of my thumb during use and without gloves and a lot of use it will make my thumb raw. other then the shape of the handle this thing is a must have if you do a lot of mechanic work. ... show more

    • If you need a compact impact for the job — this is it
I’ve used my co-workers M12 stubby for a while before I bought my own. This thing is a beast for small-medium jobs. This impact is small and with the standard M12 battery, this thing fits into most places. If you need more torque (closer to the stated 250 torque rating), you can always just swap in the 5.0 M12 battery pack. The M12 Stubby is also very light compared to other tools. It probably feels about 5 pounds at most with the battery, which is very nice when you have to work in tight spaces and weird angles. This tool is the perfect for DIY and the shop. If you are looking for something to bust off the hardest bolts then I’d look at the M18 Mid or High torque instead, those have way more torque than this. ... show more

Full disclosure -- I used it with a smaller battery. I bought this because all of the reviews said how it was small and powerful. Somewhere I read that it was supposed to have 250 ft/lbs of torque. I tried to use it to break loose some old rusty differential spring bolts. No-go. I changed the battery out to a fresh one right off the charger. Even after using WD 40 on it and letting it soak overnight -- nope. Out of curiosity, I wanted to know what the required torque was to break the bolts free and I used my torque wrench. It was about 210 ft/lbs. I am keeping the wrench in hopes it will be useful, because it seems to be a nice size and it does seem to have some decent power. I have the M18 1/2" drive for the big jobs. I went Milwaukee cordless but still have air tools but l just bought the 2967-20 high torque, and the Mid torque3/8 also now the 3/8 stubby. Being a mechanic, now retired, but still do jobs, love my Milwaukee cordless tools. Jobs are much easier not dragging around an air hose! I’m “tool poor”!! Love every Milwaukee cordless l own and always room for more!! Dependable and worth every nickel. ... show more
