Description

It also has a spring- assisted, pull-out hook that can keep it attached to wood that is up to 1 1/2 inches thick. Once attached, you can even rotate the light around to get the best illumination possible on your job. Even more convenience is found in the dual-button operation. The power button is separate from the mode selection button, so you don’t need to cycle through the 3 power modes to turn this on and off. Even better is that when you turn it off, it will remember the last power setting you were on, returning to that upon activation. Bought this just to add to my need for M12 batteries, and I had just recently lost my M18 Rover which I loved. The clamp on the M12 version isn’t as good, and the M18 version has the option of lifting the light plate and turning it 360 degrees while the base is fastened to something. The M12 doesn’t have the option. It is fixed, and the angle the light sits at becomes an issue eventually. It has a really strong magnet, and that is a plus. Brightness is great. ... show more

I mostly have 3mah batteries and they last quite a while many different mounting options this light is fantastic and even if I don't keep any of my m12 tools I'll definitely keep this light and batteries to power it. Picture included was my finished cut in return grill hole lit up from this light.

    • Very good light.
This light is brighter than I expected. Thus far I have found it very handy for framing in in poor light. I used it for some finish work the other day and in detailed application of trying to line up the edge of a chisel accurately with a line, and the light shine directly on my work, I found the quality of the light made it difficult. In fact, I had to turn it off to do the task. I am guessing this is because of the five bulbs that are casting different shadows. In other circumstances I was able to bounce some of the light off a near reflective surface which helped resolve that. Perhaps also a diffuser could be used.... In many applications this was not an issue. The integrated spring clamp is handy, though a bit awkward to use at times because the spring is so strong. I am confident the thing isn't going to fall off easily once clamped. The magnets seem strong enough to me, as long as you don't whack the thing. Battery life on the high setting is, as others have said, not stellar, but I often don't need the high setting. It feels sturdy, and as if it will stand up decently to a work environment. Anyway, though its not a perfect light, it is great at what it does. And for the price, where are you going to find perfection? ... show more

I am obsessed with this thing. SUPER bright and really does a great job of lighting the work area. Does not create the "double shadow" effect that other lights create. Magnets are very strong and can hold on to a rather small amount of surface area and are also rubber coated so they wont scratch important surfaces. I am a mechanic so I mostly use this on vehicles, wheel well area/ under hood. The spring clamp also works great to attach to aluminum hoods or 2"x4"s. ONLY gripe is this thing takes a lot of battery when its on the brightest setting. But even on low it is more than enough light. I would recommend some larger capacity batteries if you intend to run this for several hours at a time. ... show more

As a professional maintenance person, I have to be ready for whatever comes my way. The Milwaukee 12 volt Rover with a 4Ah rechargeable battery has never let me down. The magnetic base or clamp base are always able to stick to something so it can light up my entire work area and I can get the job done with both hands. The grip handle has a very ergonomic feel. It's well balanced, has 3 brightness levels and is built tough. I've dropped it a bunch over the years and it always works as it should. Get yourself the best work light out there and you will wonder how your ever did your job without it. ... show more

This light is great! The magnets on the bottom are strong as hell and I store it neatly by sticking it to the ceiling of my van. If you aren’t working near steel, the pull out clamp on the bottom works great and will cling to any 2x4 nearby. There a 4 brightness settings so you don’t have to blind yourself if you are using it in a small white cabinet (I’m a plumber). Seems efficient lasts quite long with even the smaller 12v batteries. And it blinks when the battery is getting low so you don’t just suddenly end up stranded in a crawl space in the dark. ... show more

    • Great floodlight for tight spaces
Had some work to do in a very tight, dark crawl space under our house. This flood light was very bright, compact and easy to transport along side me as I crawled around on my stomach. I am 74 years old, so the work was slow going and physically tiring. I used a 4.0ah m12 battery on medium mode setting. Over 6 hrs later the light was still shining brightly. It's a bit pricey ,but this lamp is an indispensable tool for such situations. Highly recommended! ... show more
