I bought this item cos I am a very busy Ph.D. Student and mom and wanted to cook food and save for later for my family. I was so excited to use it but when my husband made me breakfast today and kept in the bowl, it was ice cold barely 2 hours later when I was having breakfast. I am so disappointed as I only bought it because I loved that it keeps food warm according to the website description. Other than that, it looks sturdy and it’s very beautiful. These are wonderful! I use them all the time. The lids fit tight and whether you want your food to stay hot or cold the product does not fail. We have an active family and not everyone is sitting at the same time. When they sit down, food is still warm for eating. Highly recommend.

I finally was able to use this product to keep some meatballs warm during our Thanksgiving feast. Unfortunately the piping hot meatballs did not keep their heat, even with the lid on they maybe were lukewarm one hour later - with the lid on for the majority of the time.
