Description

The surface tension of water causes flour gold to actually float on the water surface. This is something you do not want to happen. Floating gold particles are difficult to capture. Jet Dry, or commonly used automatic dishwashing detergent acts as a wetting agent and surfactant to reduce the surface tension of water. It allows the water to make greater contact with the gold. You have heard of the term "mesh size". Figuring out the mesh size is easy. Just count the number of openings in one inch of screen. The number of openings is the mesh size. 5 mesh screen means there are five little squares across one linear inch of screen. A 200 mesh screen has 200 openings, and so on. As the number describing the mesh size increases, the particle size decreases. Higher numbers equal finer powder. Mesh size is not a precise measurement of particle size. Screens can be made of different thicknesses of wire. The thicker the wires, the smaller the particle size passing through that screen, and vise versa. What do the (-) and plus (+) signs mean when describing mesh sizes? -100 mesh gold means that all the particles are retained on a 100 mesh screen.

The media could not be loaded. This product works like it should after some minor adjustments. I gave it 4 stars because i had to use seam sealer on the back because water would pour out of the back of the table. But it catches gold. Hard to catch the fine gold but small pieces it works well. I leveled the back out then for the slant i left the bubble split between lines ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was excited to get going recovering fine gold but unfortunately I'm very disappointed to see glue smeared on two areas of the surface of the table. It may not hurt the results but I'm definitely not happy buying a product that has sloppy construction.

    • Product suffers from flatness of tables surface
Table is not flat from side to side. Large dip of 1/32 in the center. Made of 3/16, and that's being generous, hdpe. Way too thin not to flex. All of the leveling in the world wont fix this products design defect. All screened material wants to migrate toward the center to collect. If angle is increased the table now acts as a flume. Not impressed at all. Will begin to straighten things up with some milled aluminum struts and 2 part epoxy. Would not recommend purchasing for any reason. Outside of that, pump, leveling system and 3 points of contact are nice and simple. Water box and diffusion of water stream are of good quality. ... show more

I just received my USA PROSPECTOR Miller Table. It arrived before the scheduled delivery date. I set it up in about 5 minutes, and re-ran a cup of concentrates that had previously run through another finishing table.
