  • easy to use
It works great for collecting leaves and twigs. It's not heavy, it's sturdy enough. Price is right.

  • Time saver
Work very well and much easier to pick up small piles that tend to gather in the corners of my patio. Picks up a large amount. Saves time.

  • A worthwile set of helping hands!
These hands work great. I just wish they were 6 inches longer. I have a large area to clean, and after a while my back and I wished I didn't have to bend so far down to pick up the piles of raked leaves. Before these, I used two rakes like salad grabbers to pick up the piles and place them in the garden wagon. No bending, but not as efficient as the Gorilla hands in picking up large piles of leaves neatly and placing them in the wagon with very little spillage. One word of caution. I borrowed the first pair I used from a friend, who also liked and recommended I try them. I was using them in very cold weather and I tended to pick up very large piles of leaves in order to shorten my work time. After several days of heavy use, both hands developed stress cracks where the hand part meets the shovel part. I don't know if the cold temperatures made the plastic brittle, or if the cracks were from the stress of picking up such large piles. In any event, I then ordered two pairs. One to replace the pair I borrowed and returned cracked to my friend, and a pair for myself. Next season I will have to remember to curb my enthusiasm while using them; and if they ever come out with a longer pair, I will definitely purchase a pair of these also. ... show more

  • Not only is it super strong plastic
I opened the package of the Miles Kimball garden hands and thought "I paid how much for this thing"? Well yesterday I used it and couldn't believe what i was seeing. Not only is it super strong plastic, it fit my small hands wonderfully. I racked a bunch of leaves and started using the "hands" and within a few minutes they were all gone, takes no effort at all, and very very little bending. I am 77 and felt 37 again, within about 35-40 minutes i had my back yard all cleaned of the leaves. My neighbor has this huge tree and I get the majority of his leaves so I'm out there at least every other day raking. I've tried the gadgets for sucking up the leaves but at my age they're too heavy for me to use. After I had raked all the leaves, I took the "hands" and easily dug around bushes to get anything left over. I highly recommend this gadget, it's made of heavy gauge plastic and light and big enough that you get a large amount when picking up. I'm sure in time i'll find many uses for this. Please understand I'm small 5'1" and not a whole lot of things i can use without getting tired and back to my computer or tv. Hubby died 3 yrs ago, so i don't have him around to do all these honey do's ,i do them, gardener only mows my front lawn, and i do the rest. When you see those that are cheaper, forget it......I nearly bought one for 8.99, sure glad I didn't, I would still be out there picking up leaves. This will last until I join my hubby. ... show more

  • Good product but needs to be heavier gage.
Product good for light weight use but when picking up a large load of leaves some of which damp is causing cracking to show up on both scoops. Would have been better is they were manufactured out of heavier plastic. I don't see these lasting very long. These started showing cracking after one day's use. ... show more

  • makes picking up leaf piles a snap
This product makes picking up leaf piles quick and easy. I've only used them a couple of times, so the jury is still out on their durability (my last pair was from another vendor and broke fairly quickly). These appear to be a little sturdier so I'm hopeful about their durability.

  • Great Invention
I love these things. I wish I had them years ago. We live on a partially wooded lot and I have a lot of leaves to take care of. Getting the leaves out of the flower bed can be a bit tricky with a rake because it pulls & dislodges the young plants. I can use the gorilla hand to gently brush away the leaves and not harm the plant. Also I have Rheumatoid arthritis and it's hard for me to hold anything with a traditional handle. These Gorilla hands have the best design. I don't even have to hold the handle tightly. The design makes it easy to use the strength in my wrist & arms to help control the Gorilla hand. And the scoop up a lot of leaves. They are not flimsy like a lot of other large, scooping hands that I have seen. I'm sure I will get use out of them for many things not just leaves. ... show more
