My daughter wanted some body jewelry that she could wear this summer and that wouldn’t tarnish or oxidize and turn her skin green. So far, she’s loving this set and it’s withstood quite a bit. I noticed that it didn’t cause her skin any irritation, which has also been a concern lately, so it’s definitely good for those who’s skin is more sensitive. She’s been using it almost every day in our humid climate, and it still looks good, which is often not the case with fashion jewelry. Most of the time, the pieces will start looking dull or turning green after a couple wears, but this one is still looking shiny and new. Hopefully that’ll be the case when she gets in the water as well. I like that it doesn’t look cheap or plated, but like it’s made from high quality material, and it’s actually stronger than it looks. I am allergic to most metals, so ordered this since an alloy wouldn't work for me. This is a plated chain, and that was enough for me - it's held up in the jacuzzi and the pool, and with multiple uses in the shower! I've left it on all day and all night - the only reason I took it off was because I had a heavy meal and it was starting to get tight. I love this piece of jewelry, it's also good for waist watching purposes to see if a specific meal gets you very bloated or not (not its intended use, but good nonetheless)! ... show more

When I took it out of the package, I was surprised at how beautiful the chain is. It does seem gold plated but still has a metal feel to it. Both chains have adjustable notches. Simple and elegant design
